Historia
A Russian diplomat disappears while Doc is tagging great white sharks in South Africa, and members of a criminal brotherhood, Bratva, don’t think it’s a coincidence. They track the biologist to Dinkin’s Bay Marina on the west coast of Florida, where Brotherhood mercenaries have already deployed, prepared to pillage and kill in the wake of an approaching hurricane.

Good book, horrible narrator
Revisado: 07-26-24
RWW is once again back with another gem in the Doc Ford series. RWW was actually in Hurricane Ian, so you can feel the pain and trauma from that storm vividly in this book. George Guidall is terrible. He sounds like an old man. a 10 pack a day smoker, is phlegmy and chopping with confusing spaces in dialogue. There were times (once every 5 minutes) when I couldn't figure out who was talking or if the topic had changed. I have up on RWW audiobooks years ago because Guidall was so bad, but I spent another credit hoping the story and characters could overcome him. It did not. Randy, there are sooo many better narrators out there.

Father Solomon Lancaster—the town's dry-witted sheriff and priest at the community Catholic church—finds himself on the forefront of an investigation into a series of murders. Soon, he's fighting to match wits with the serial killer terrorizing his town while trying to justify his law-enforcement credentials to the FBI as their analysts and profilers take Crooked Creek, Indiana, by storm. This book is far from my typical audiobook genre but I took a chance on it. It had some of the best twists I have ever heard. And the narrator CRUSHED this! Perfect voice, tone and pacing

Historia
Traditional claims, modern borders, and the dreams for a better tomorrow clash when the IndoChina, backed Eastern Alliance, takes a new and aggressive stance on the world stage, ushering in the last great World War. A patient wait that was over a century long is rewarded when the Chinese portion of the Eastern Alliance Bloc makes their move in the Pacific. For decades, only the US Navy has held them back from reclaiming what they believe to be theirs. Now, the American forces are tired after decades of small wars, underfunded, and unprepared for what is coming.

Explosive!! Dewey at his best!!!
Revisado: 09-14-21
I had this on preorder since the day is came out for presale and was not disappointed. Ben Coes knocks it out of the park! Awesome plot and continued deep character develop of Dewey who is an antihero hero. And the way that Coes sets Rob Tacoma as such a contrast to Dewey is fantastic. And Ari Fliakos IS THE VOICE of Dewey! He is hands down one of the most riveting narrators in the business today. Can't wait for the next one, write faster Ben Coes!!!

Bad narration, lots of filler,
Revisado: 07-19-20
Just no, I really tried to stay with it as there were moments of interest but even the action sequences failed to deliver. And the narrator, he would forget what voice he was using on which character and rush though key parts. Also the editing was so bad it was unreal. I am returning this clunker...

Amazing plot turns and non-stop excited!!!
Revisado: 10-15-19
This is my 3rd Dewey Andreas book and they keep getting better. Coes did an amazing job with developing Dewey's character. His vulnerability and thirst for vengeance were linked well. This had some Mission Impossible elements and the BEST pursuit scene I have ever heard I'm an audio book! I'm also very impressed by the narrator, he is up there with Ray Porter and Scott Brick with his ability to hook the listener.

Historia
In the not-too-distant future, the United States loses its status as a world Superpower. With the military cut to a barebones level and American leaders focused solely on the nation's internal struggles, the door will open for new powers to emerge on the world stage. In the wake of this power vacuum, China and Russia begin to flex their military muscles and expand their dominance in the world. They have the most up-to-date technological innovations ready for battle: railguns, unmanned drone tank vehicles, exoskeleton suits, and cyber warfare.

Right wing fantasy view of the future
Revisado: 10-15-19
These authors should stay away from politics and have more logical plot turns. The Battlefield series was very well done but this has parts that are veiled racism, climate change denial, xenophobia and flat out dumb plot lines. I get political plot underpinnings but this guy REALLY hates Democrats. And really, Canada deciding to join the USA? The US invading Mexico????

Historia
In The Road To Gandolfo, Robert Ludlum introduced us to the outrageous General MacKenzie Hawkins and his legal wizard, Sam Devereaux, whose plot to kidnap the Pope spun wildly out of control into sheer hilarity. Now Ludlum's two wayward heroes return with a diabolical scheme to right a very old wrong - and wreak vengeance on the (expletive deleted) who drummed the hawk out of the military. Their outraged opposition will be no less than the White House.

Perfect mania
Revisado: 10-19-13
Any additional comments?
Scott Brick knocks it out of the park with the best voices and some of the most memorable characters I have ever heard. If you read The Road to Gandolofo then you know what a merchant of chaos General Macenzie Hawkins is but this book takes him to a another level. With the help of multiple lunatics, he drags Sam Devereux kicking and screaming into a huge conspiracy that may be bigger than collecting certain "religious artifacts". This may be one of the best credit investments ever for me.
