Well written novel enhanced by exceptional narration

Portrays the damaging psychological effects of greed, while examining the themes of power dynamics and morality. Heart of Darkness is a dense narrative that adequately describes the heart of man. Well worth the read, but meditate upon each sentence. I recommend reading King Leopold’s ghost for a proper context and commentary on the murder/exploitation of the natives and plundering of the Congo’s many natural resources under the European Colonial Rule in Africa.
