Historia
In 2007, the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN) outlined the hardware and software platforms that would one day allow robots smaller than human cells to make medical diagnoses, conduct repairs, and even self-propagate. In the same year, the CBS network re-aired a program about the effects of propranolol on sufferers of extreme trauma. A simple pill, it had been discovered, could wipe out the memory of any traumatic event. At almost the same moment in humanity’s broad history, mankind discovered the means for bringing about its utter downfall. And the ability to forget it ever happened.

Great story but…
Revisado: 04-14-25
I liked the story, even though dystopian societies aren’t my number one choice of reading subjects. I like the mystery behind. And of course the twist.
What I didn’t like and really got tired of the structure of the book, the constant back-and-forth. I feel like the things that happened in the past would’ve spoiled the story if they were written more consecutively and didn’t fear with the later story as it ran through.
also, yes I like descriptions, but I kind of felt like it was too much at times. It’s something that some people see as positive as negative, so each person can be the judge of that aspect. There is way too much description, you might love it or hate it

It’s like Supernatural for kids
Revisado: 03-19-25
I enjoyed the story, and it’s very well written, nice language and adequate descriptions. I’ve always liked the supernatural phenomenon in general. However I kind of found female the main character slightly annoying at times, and there wasn’t something in the description of her character that would justify some behaviors and make them less annoying. I also had a issue with the narration, the narrator’s tone was fine, but the “S”es could use some toning down. they sounded like a hiss at times. could not enjoy the narration…

Great ending

Loved the ending, It was something I had been thinking about for a story I was working on! I didn’t love the Poirot voice in this one but no biggie. It wasn’t bad.

Good ideas/Theories
Revisado: 02-24-25
As a fan of his first book, Surrounded by Idiots, I bought this without thinking twice. Well it does have a lot of new information, I kind of felt like… I saw a little creative you can figure this out just by reading the first book. I definitely recommended for people who have not read the first book, and for people who did not pride themselves in their own imagination. (not that that’s a bad thing, it’s just people traits)
What I really did not like was the narration unfortunately. Comes off as “smug” a lot of the time and that’s definitely not the tone I got from reading the first book. If it was my book I would never want it to leave this «taste» to my readers.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Revisado: 02-08-25
this book was so good I wish I could erase my memory so I could read it again for the first time . Thank you for this wonderful story, every step of the way was exciting, and the flow was so smooth and just what you would expect… but not expect at the same time. Great performance as well. I loved the detail, I loved the story and the idea, I love the characters, everything was very clever and well executed. Perfection

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Very unlikable lead
Revisado: 02-08-25
this is a very difficult review for me to write since I adore this author and the two other works I have read from him are simply genius.
It’s hard for me to believe that this was written by the same person as it is far less developed, when it comes to the science (I’m not a scientist and I felt like it was poorly developed) but the thing that bothered me the most was there as much as I wanted to connect with the main character, and trust me I really tried, I simply could not like her. Her morals and her attitude and her ambition or lack thereof were so alien to me…
I finished it because I really wanted to see if I had any point there will be some incident that would make me have a change of heart. After I finished I thought there was something wrong with me so I went online to check other people’s reviews. (No, I did not do that before I got the book because as I said I adore this author and his work.) From what I saw I understood that I wasn’t alone in this. I like the way he writes but this book was a surprise, not in a good way. I’m really sorry to say this.
