Historia
January 1946: London is emerging from the shadow of the Second World War, and writer Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject. Who could imagine that she would find it in a letter from a man she’s never met, a native of the island of Guernsey, who has come across her name written inside a book by Charles Lamb.... As Juliet and her new correspondent exchange letters, Juliet is drawn into the world of this man and his friends - and what a wonderfully eccentric world it is.

Would you listen to The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society again? Why?
I would listen to this again. Interesting, quirky characters in a historical fiction setting is a favorite combination of mine.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
Good with men's and women's voices.

Breathless and painstakingly researched, this is a stunning debut mystery in which Sherlock Holmes unmasks Jack the Ripper. Lyndsay Faye perfectly captures all the color and syntax of Conan Doyle’s distinctive nineteenth-century London.

Nice job fitting into the Sherlock style.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
First of all, I love listening to anything Simon Vance reads.
What a great mix for historical fiction,Jack the Ripper and Sherlock.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sherlock and Mary Ann. She was better than The Women in the Doyle books. Mary Ann is much more interesting. Sherlock was still his quirky self.

We are in the Era of Behavior and the rules of the game have fundamentally changed. It is no longer what you do that matters most and sets you apart from others, but how you do what you do.
