Fantastic, multi-layered story.

I love stories like this that have an ensemble style and show different parts of the same story through time. Intricate, beautiful and eerie. I loved it.

The pacing could have been a bit better: more space between character perspectives. But still good audio quality.

ESSENTIAL for women, poor technical execution

The content is fantastic and helpful. The audio quality is lacking. You can hear whenever the narrator bumped the table or shifted around. And they put music over parts of the book. Seriously distracting!

Reid’s hilarity is at it again

I love her books so much and this one is further proof. Reid has such a great way of creating lovable, complex characters with heart and brains. It’s witty, it’s charming. I love it. Also really enjoy the male narration - a lovey deep tone.

Female narration is robotic

She uses the same rhythmic intonation for almost every sentence. Gets real old, real fast. Doesn’t sound like a 20-something woman.

Good info; poor narration

I like the book and think it is useful for pursuing health. I do not like the narration. This is why authors should generally not record their own work but rather hire a professional. The recording was very stilted and robotic. Sound quality was fine.

Fun and inventive listen

I appreciated the extra, magical life the author gives to cocktails and coffee. It’s a fun an imaginative way to think of daily indulgences. The performance and sound quality were both good though the “screaming” parts of the dialog were not done exactly to my taste. But that’s a small consideration. Overall it was great!

The audio equivalent of a page turner

This was such a fun book. So engaging and creative. The character development is *chefs kiss* and the reveal at the end, masterfully done. As for the performance, most of the narrators were perfect! The Callum character’s narration was sometimes very quiet and I had to adjust the volume. And the Parisa character’s was less crisp and clear compared to the others, but it didn’t detract from the story - mostly an individual preference.

This is a fantastic book. So thoroughly researched and entertaining. Brilliantly performed by Scott Brick!

While Moss hints at what he thinks is the solution to the problems this book presents, it’s not too heavy handed and leaves room for interpretation.

Not the book. TOO conversational.

This was a waste of an audible credit. It’s. It says it’s the abridged version of the book but it’s the author talking about the book. It’s more like a podcast than an actual book. If you actually want to read the book you’ll have to do so through the paper version.

strong start.

started strong but rapidly declined from great figures to a guy he liked in a movie once that you've never heard of. became self indulgent and his degree of hate directed at the people he accused of mongering hate was unbelievably tone deaf.
