Possible game changer
Revisado: 11-25-20
I’ve never been able to mediate. This book spoke to all the reasons why. I’ll try anything once. The book convinced me. But now I have to see if I can make it work. No guarantees but I’m intrigued.

Laugh out loud funny!
Revisado: 11-27-10
It is rare that a book gets me to laugh (and I don't mean smile) out loud. This one did it on more than one occasion. It's a fast story, and one I couldn't wait to pick up again. I'm off to find another Nick Hornby book!

Historia
“It happened fast. Thirty-two minutes for one world to die, another to be born". An epic and gripping tale of catastrophe and survival, The Passage is the story of Amy - abandoned by her mother at the age of six, pursued, and then imprisoned by the shadowy figures behind a government experiment of apocalyptic proportions. But Special Agent Brad Wolgast, the lawman sent to track her down, is disarmed by the curiously quiet girl and risks everything to save her. As the experiment goes nightmarishly wrong, Wolgast secures her escape - but he can’t stop society’s collapse.

To make a short story long...
Revisado: 09-26-10
While the concept and the plot are inventive and interesting, this book was WAY longer than it needed to be. Character development in a book is good, but this went way too far. Had this been a normal-length book my review would be very different. Why it was so drawn out, I have no idea. By half-way through I was finishing it out of principle and by the end I wished I hadn't bothered.
