Historia
In a world of warring orcs and men, Lady Norr is condemned to a childless marriage, a cruel lord husband, and a life of genteel poverty—until the day her home is ransacked by a horde. Leading the charge is their hulking, deadly orc captain: the infamous Grimarr. Grimarr has a wicked plan for Lady Norr, and for ending this war once and for all. She’s going to become his captive, and the perfect snare for Lord Norr. There’s no possible escape, and soon Lady Norr is dragged off toward Orc Mountain in the powerful arms of her greatest enemy.

Author's Shame Kink killed it for me
Revisado: 08-03-22
The author see-sawed a lot on consent, and really dug into feeling shame about sex. It really fucked with what could have been a fun enemies to lovers experience. Quit about halfway through because I was bored of the weird character development and inconsistency. Also, she couldn't be bothered to google a pie recipe and invented the fantasy equivalent of store-bought pie filling which, while minor, drove me nuts.
The performance was fine, once he settled into the female voice and made her less whiny.

Historia
Ed Helquist never asked for superhuman strength, or extraordinary speed, or the voice in his blood that tells him when and where trouble will occur; those things just arose in him one day, calling him into danger and forcing him to help people without knowing why. His simple life is becoming more and more complicated every minute, and a mysterious woman who keeps showing up to cause trouble may hold the answers to everything...if only she she’d stop trying to kill him long enough for him to ask.

Great Performance, Fun but Predictable Story
Revisado: 11-23-19
A fun but pretty typical male power fantasy romp. The author burns a lot of words telling us... everything. More showing, please!
The performance is quite good, and added energy and life. I probably would have put the print book down, but the performance injected personality and texture.
