Unique storyline and great chatacters
Revisado: 03-24-24
This is my first Christi Caldwell book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And Timothy Campbell is always the best in my opinion. The storyline was very different than the ones I normally read and I enjoyed that uniqueness. Complete with a honorable hero, a quirky heroine and a HEA. I look forward to discovering more of Christi Caldwell's books.

Historia
Sophie Appersett is quite willing to marry outside of her class to ensure the survival of her family. But the darkly handsome Mr. Edward Sharpe is no run-of-the-mill London merchant. He's grim and silent. A man of little emotion - or perhaps no emotion at all. After two months of courtship, she's ready to put an end to things. But severing ties with her taciturn suitor isn't as straightforward as Sophie envisioned.

A Surprising Delight
Revisado: 12-07-22
I had never listened to this narrator or any stories by this author, but I'll be looking for more! The tension and suspense between the 2 main characters was well written, but not overly dramatic. It was enough to keep me wanting to listen more and more. I enjoyed every moment and thought it was a wonderful holiday listen. Highly recommend.

Historia
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

Sweet, romantic and quite hilarious at times. I've never listened to any stories by this author before but that all changes now!

A nice ending to the trilogy
Revisado: 01-21-18
I've really enjoyed this trilogy. I do wish this one had been a bit longer and the characters more developed, but it was a good story nonetheless. I liked how everything tied together well at the end. Narrator did a great job just like on the previous two.

Innes Munro has the ability to "read" a person's past simply by touching them, but her gift comes with a heavy price: her freedom. Forced to stay at desolate Castle Girnigoe, Innes never expects to be drawn to the wounded warrior who haunts its dark passages and challenges her at every turn.

Another great story in the trilogy!
Revisado: 01-13-18
I'm so glad I decided to give this trilogy a chance. The narrator did another great job and the new characters were great. It has everything I love in a story - mystery, romance, adventure and true love. I'm looking forward to starting the last book. Right now!

Great story AND narrator!
Revisado: 01-05-18
I often get distracted when a narrator does a poor job. No matter how great the story may be, I cannot stop thinking about the narrator. Having just finished a great series, I was drawn to the storyline of this book but was hesitant to try a new narrator. I was in for a pleasant surprise! I was immediately drawn into the great story and not once distracted by poor narration. I listened to the whole thing in 1 day. I am looking forward to the next 2 books in the series!
