Historia
We were childhood friends, me and the boy who would grow up to become Hollywood's hottest star. When I was six, I fell for him at the bus stop. When I was 15, he moved away, taking my heart with him. When I was 24, he came back for me, even though I didn't want him. The nine years we spent apart, I tried like hell to fill the void. Apparently, so did he. Instead of being addicted to me, he became addicted to women, drugs, and money.

LOVE everyth8ing about this book
Revisado: 08-17-19
OK this was one of the first books and authors I found through my Kindle Unlimited and really enjoyed it so much thought I ended up joining audible and this was my first book I bought and love how these two narrators play off each other. The other thing I enjoy is the emotions they bring to the story. Which is so enjoyable because it really brings the whole story to life. I find it relaxing enough with these two people telling me about this story that I will listen to it while I am trying to fall asleep. SO, thank you very much. Now I am off to find more projects from this author and these two narrators.... TTFN

Historia
Abducted by alien slavers, experimented on, and left blind, the last thing doctor Winter Ashworth needs is a big barbarian gladiator in her life, especially an annoying one who thinks she's small and weak. Rescued by gladiators on the desert world of Carthago, Winter is doggedly working to embrace her new life. But two of her friends are still missing and she'll do anything to help get them back...even if she has to work alongside Nero Krahn: hunter, barbarian, gladiator. The scowly, brooding man is too big, has too many muscles, and pushes all her buttons.

Love the story by BUT not the narrator
Revisado: 08-17-19
I actually love just about every book in this series and thought I would give the audiobook a try BUT
I would honsetly rather listen to the computer generated voice on kindle's text to speech.
When she was sounding like one of the characters, she sounded better. Especially like Winter. Nero or even Galen not so much.
What really grated on me was lack luster narration for the rest of the story. There just really wasn't any emotion. Now I wonder if the narrator but sound better in one of the other books in this series.
I really want to say thank you for to the author for putting together a great story that I can just listen to over and over.
