Murder on the Orient Express is written by perhaps the most widely celebrated murder mystery fiction author. Her characters in this edition are complex and intriguing, the setting cozy yet original, and the narrator excellent in his depictions and various accents. The plot is intelligently constructed, and though it explores human psychology, maintains an intriguing simplicity. Highly recommend.

What made the experience of listening to Where the Red Fern Grows the most enjoyable?

The book itself is excellent but the narration puts it over the top. Heald absolutely nails it. His narration is as good as Sissy Spacek's narration of "To Kill a Mockingbird" ... and that's saying something.

Any additional comments?

Note for parents of young or sensitive children (mild spoiler alert): There are some sad and even gruesome scenes in this book. As a parent, I didn't mind them, but neither of my kids (12 and 8) ended up wanting to finish the book when it became apparent what was coming. That said, the worst stuff is near the end of the book and I'm still very glad that we listened to most of the book together. It's a wonderful tale, beautifully narrated. If you want to skip the worst scenes, stop listening after the coon hunting contest is over.

What did you like best about Custom Nation? What did you like least?

The author gives some good learnings and case examples, but this isn't (and maybe isn't meant to be) a broad overview of where mass customization is headed and how to best position yourself (your business) to take advantage.

Would you recommend Custom Nation to your friends? Why or why not?

Sure, in about the same way as I'd recommend Wikipedia as the starting point for learning about a new topic

What didn’t you like about Tori Kamal’s performance?

The narration is staccato with most (or at least so it seems) commas and other punctuation marks treated as periods and with emphasis all too often placed on the wrong syllables. The editing is also not great and in at least 3 cases parts of sentences are repeated. Kamal does enunciate well, however and he has a good voice.

Who do you think would benefit most from listening to Custom Nation?

Someone looking for a cursory overview of mass customization ... a starting point.

Any additional comments?

I liked the book ok and I did get some useful things from it, so I won't be returning it.

Best audiobook I've heard so far.

Any additional comments?

Sissy Spacek absolutely nails this reading of an amazing book.
