Historia
The Ultimate Guide to Pregnancy for Lesbians covers everything you need to make the thrilling and challenging journey to motherhood: from choosing a donor to tracking fertility to signing the right papers on the dotted lines. Rachel Pepper's lively, easy-to-read guide is the first place to go for up-to-date information and sage advice on everything from sex in the sixth month to negotiating family roles. Why a second edition? When the acclaimed first edition appeared, the author's daughter was only a few months old. This new edition takes into account the parenting know-how Pepper has developed over the intervening years.

Outdated, but still worth a read
Revisado: 10-24-21
I found the book to have some outdated language and almost all the referenced resources were outdated. I didn’t agree with everything the author had to say, but I think it was still a useful introduction to the pregnancy world for queer woman. There are so few queer pregnancy books out there. I flew through it in a few days, but will likely come back to it if/when I am successfully pregnant and want to reference what I might expect during various periods of pregnancy.
I hope future editions will discuss the experience of IVF.

Historia
The secret behind France's astonishingly well-behaved children is here. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman has a baby in Paris, she doesn't aspire to become a "French parent". French parenting isn't a known thing, like French fashion or French cheese. Even French parents themselves insist they aren't doing anything special. But French children are far better behaved and more in command of themselves than American kids....

Lots of good parenting options to consider
Revisado: 07-24-21
I really enjoyed this book and feel like I learned tangible skills to try out with my future kids. I may not agree with every method presented in the book, but I don’t think the American expat author did either. She simply presented them as something that some French parents do. I would recommend this to other future parents or parents of young children.

Funny and uncomfortable

This book had me blushing, shouting “oh my god,” and laughing. I still don’t know exactly how I feel about it, but I think it’s worth reading.

Historia
Focus on your breath and let the low and powerful reverberations of crystal bowls wash over you. Studies have shown these humming sounds allow your brainwaves to slow and shift from an active to relaxed state - a perfect precursor to deep sleep. In order to get the most out of your listening experience, pioneering sound therapist Sara Auster recommends you dim the lights and lie down or sit in a comfortable position with an eye mask and a blanket, silence any alerts or notifications, and use earphones.

I fall asleep every time

This helps me unwind and prepare for sleep. Half the time I fall asleep with my earbuds in listening to Slowing Down.
