Historia
Many years and even more levels have passed since Jake and friends entered Nevermore. With quite a number of floors passed, they turn their attention to the Challenge Dungeons. These Challenge Dungeons offer – as the name suggests – unique challenges and circumstances, and completing them will earn each Nevermore competitor points and multipliers to their existing points. As things unfold, it quickly becomes clear it’s through these dungeons that the true top-scorer of the Nevermore Leaderboards will be found.

more story less dungeon
Revisado: 03-21-25
most of the other books had story line. There was always some dungeon time but damn. They went into the dungeon in the last book. This book didn't even finish one section of the dungeon. When he was trying to decide if he was going to fight the seven champions I was thinking, please don't. Won't be listening to the next installation.

lack of a plot
Revisado: 11-27-24
the story is like playing W.O.W. doing mostly dungeon crawls and maybe a quest every once in awhile. Like a person so obsessed with power that all they do is work. Ignoring friends and family. In the end the only thing they have is power and no loved ones to share it with.

as a senior citizen , how much the world around me is changing
Revisado: 08-16-24
I thought it was a well written book. The character Moss wasn't cut out for what he started. He should have just taken bills from each of the bundles and left. He should have killed Anton when he had the chance. Or just left the scene of the drug deal and called the sheriff. Don't mess with drug dealers or they likely to kill your entire family as a message to everyone. They all actually got off easy by only being shot. Usually its a lot more horrific to send a better message.

a well written story
Revisado: 07-27-24
I like the story line. It made me LOL in quite a few places. I like the way Jason thinks outside the normal and finds a way to get things done.
Impossible just means nobody has figured it out yet. Don't know where the storyline can go from here though. I figured there would be 12 books in the series but I read there will be 15. I hope Jason lets the World Phoenix keep her job, the other one she had sounded like it sucked.
Best series I've read since " Land of the Undying Lord"

Great story, captivating, funny at times , tragic.
Revisado: 07-13-24
I've read or listened to every book Chris has written.
It is an excellent story. These are not Tolkien's goblins. I was hoping for a continuation of The Black Tongue Thief as they were setting out on a further adventure but I bought this book as soon as I saw it. Looking forward to the next book.

Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

I like how realisticly he portrays people. I tend to see people as self serving and looking to turn tragic events to their advantage.

Historia
To the victor go the spoils. Winners rule, and losers drool. Those are the rules. That's how it's supposed to be. That's what Cam expected when he survived the Fae Confluence, won all three trials, and ended up the Lord of Winter. At the very least, he expected a high five and a pat on the back for a job well done. Instead, when he returned to the mortal realm, he was met with trigger-happy UN agents, a spoiled dragon, and a queen succubus who was ready to do anything to take him down.

Classic journey of the hero story
Revisado: 02-22-24
I liked the characters and story development.
Should have spent at least a quarter of Cam's story in the Fey realm. I don't think that he would be able to just leave the Winter Throne empty. Now you've moved the storyline to Cam having to deal with the All Father, a greater threat than the Winter Court.
Seems like you skipped over what would be a good story line for book six. Looking forward to seeing how you progress the story.
( If I was in Cam's position I think I probably would have brought an army of frost giants to Caesars Palace in response to the purge. The insult could not be tolerated but perhaps it's better he killed the offender himself.
