This is one I could listen to over and over. I can close my eyes and see the events performing in my mind. The author did a wonderfully job letting me escape reality. I personally recommend reading it.

Interesting and Imaginative

Listening to the book, I had no idea where the author was taking me. The beginning was such a build up, I was anxiously waiting for more. Then came the heart and eruption the author tore into, making me question my sanity on many levels. The thought process in making this incredible and consuming tale, is masterful.
I do need to add one negative aspect of the narrator, he seemed to be echoing and did not have a feminine quality to his tone. He seemed to go into a lower voice, rather than a higher pitch. So, I decided to get the book on KU and have my Talkback read for me.
This is still, by far, a 5 star read! You will want to read it and let the authors world consume you

Listening to this short story by Ms.
Cole, I can see she has a considerable amount of creativity. She can make you breathless from one moment to the next. Switching scenes and not knowing what just happened made me curious to keep listening. She makes you hunger for more, wanting to know beyond her thoughts of how the story began and ends in her mind. I would like her to create a series of this fascinating story, to make it more than just a psychological short story. I would read each book from beginning to end, if she did.
The only thing I was taken back from was the narrator, it did not fit the story. But buy the book and see the creation she has mastered.

Just Read & You Will Love It!

When you listen to a book, you close your eyes, envision the story being told to you, like you are in a dream. I felt like I was there playing a role in the scenes, trying to figure out what was going to happen next. Feeling the distress of the characters, the memories of each one and the long ago lost love. There was a balance, one was loyalty, the other was dismay, you knew when one ended and the other began. The different elements of the book took you far and wide with twists and turns you couldn't imagine. I'm ready to listen to book 2 of The Damned Series ~ Sweet Visions

Very Empowering!

This book was empowering, and a little hard for me to swallow. The author knew how bad it can be to be for some, and how is deafening it can be to go through. That's all I'm going to say about the book! She is an amazing writer, and pulls you in, where you can feel each emotion being shown. And my favorite motto, she used in her book as well, knowing The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. This is the first book I have been able to listen to because I know how the character feels. Elaine Marie has many more books that I want to read and review. She has a fan now. I believe this is a wonderful book to read it empowers, encourages and shines a light to the ones that need to hear it.
