Historia
The identity comes first: Evie Porter. Once she’s given a name and location by her mysterious boss, Mr. Smith, she learns everything there is to know about the town and the people in it. Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job. Evie isn’t privy to Mr. Smith’s real identity, but she knows this job isn't like the others. Ryan has gotten under her skin, and she’s starting to envision a different sort of life for herself. But Evie can’t make any mistakes—especially after what happened last time.

Easy and fun listen
Revisado: 01-24-24
Very entertaining story, liked it from the beginning. It flows easily, the twists are unexpected in the first half of the book, then it gets more predictable but still fun. I really liked the main character very much.

Necessary
Revisado: 11-02-23
I loved the story and the narration, despite the tragedy and suffering there was so much love in and between the lines. But it broke my heart thousand times.

Historia
In the summer of 2006, Emma Price watched helplessly as her six-year-old son's red coat was fished out of the River Ouse. It was the tragic story of the year - a little boy, Aiden, wandered away from school during a terrible flood, fell into the river, and drowned. His body was never recovered. Ten years later Emma has finally rediscovered the joy in life...until Aiden returns.

Annoying
Revisado: 09-21-23
I don’t understand how this book got 4.5/5. Huge disappointnent for me.
First, the herroine is weak, naïve or completely stupid, unable to tell right from wrong, good from bad.
Then, the plot has holes in it. I have the feeling like the author should have done more research on the topic of trauma of this kind. And the legal aspects of such cases.
I have listened to much better and more believable freebies on Audible, so this wasn’t a credit well spent.

Slowest book ever
Revisado: 07-25-23
The story itself wouldn’t be bad, but it is sooooo slooooow, too descriptive - when a knife falls to the floor, we learn about its site, the reflection of the blade, the clanking sound, the scratch it made on the wooden floor…who cares? We know how a knife falling to a wooden floor look like. Move on with the story. I hat forward it all the time to skip the neverending descriptions of every object and the annoying repetitive inner dialogs of the main character.

Historia
When you listen to this audiobook, you will make many assumptions. You will assume you are listening to a story about a jealous ex-wife. You will assume she is obsessed with her replacement - a beautiful, younger woman who is about to marry the man they both love. You will assume you know the anatomy of this tangled love triangle. Assume nothing. Twisted and deliciously chilling, The Wife Between Us exposes the secret complexities of an enviable marriage - and the dangerous truths we ignore in the name of love.

Predictable.
Revisado: 01-21-23
I enjoyed The golden couple very much, that’s why I got this book, having expectations for a similarly good store. However this story was quite predictable - at least the “twist” of part I. The story of abusive relationship brought nothing new or revealing (I can’t stand whiny, weak and naïve heroines) , so I was at least hoping for proper justice to be done but was not satisfied in this direction either. And then the epilogue… that was too much, silly really.
