I’d bought this book about 5 years ago and I’ve just decided to read it. I needed it now than 5 years ago. It’s so relatable to my life and I’ll be doing all the activities and I will use it as a reference book and I plan to listen to this book once a year, to ensure that I keep on the path of un dependence and living my own life. Sadly, I recently learnt that the author passed away almost 2 months ago. May her soul rest in peace and may her legacy live on through this life-changing book. 🙏🏽

This is a very informative book for beginners. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and will be listening again and again to apply some of the incredible insights shared. Brilliant little gem for my book collection, from which I'll benefit tremendously. I see where it's possible for me to learn more about real estate as I think about buying properties for rent.

It made me cry, nod my head in agreement and put in words what I couldn't. Tarana has the gift of naming what sexual abuse survivors can't even name....so that the healing can begin. If you grow up in a post-colonial society, this book gives life to so many unspoken issues that we face. Language is powerful.

Short with very solid points. Great advice!

Learn how to manage up by building a stronger relationship with those you report to. I'd never considered that before, so the whole concept was eye-opening to me. Learn how to work with a difficult,toxic boss and more. It's short, so don't expect whole explanations, but they did a good job to make the points stick.
