Historia
Nicole Berman is determined to find there the first concrete evidence of the biblical patriarch Abraham while leading her first archeological dig in Jordan. During the excavation, Berman discovers a 4,000-year-old complex that includes evidence she believes proves her theory. But a devastating cave-in nearly kills her and she awakens in a Saudi clinic, haunted by visions of what she may have seen - evidence of Abraham and his two sons, the half-brothers Isaac and Ishmael. One discovery leads to another, and Nicole sets off across the region to connect pieces of an ancient puzzle.

Great storyline
Revisado: 02-25-25
I enjoyed this story very much. it makes me want to reread about Nimrod and all the crazy things that he did. I didn't mind that some of the recent past was told with dialogue. I noticed someone else complained about that I think. for me it flowed really well. I like the fact that they were very clear when they were switching from present day to the past.

Heartwarming
Revisado: 12-26-24
I so enjoy the way Lorraine Snelling knitts warmth, faith, and humor together. No creepy lustful kisses thrown in to please the masses. Instead, true relationships formed on a foundation that feels right-- the opposite of creepy. Clean, God-centered, and wholesome story telling sprinkled with Norwegian sayings to warm the heart.

With all that's going on around us at this time, it's reassuring to see that God has a plan and to be reminded of that through the words of this author.

In the city of Chicago in 1892, the rules for Victorian women are strict, their roles limited. But sisters Rebecca and Flora Hawes are not typical Victorian ladies. Their love of adventure and their desire to use their God-given talents has brought them to the Sinai Desert - and into a sandstorm. I have to say, I enjoyed this story immensely! Even though it is a novel, I found it to be very educational. I also feel my walk with the Lord has been rejuvenated as a result!

Love Comes Softly
Revisado: 04-20-23
I so enjoyed the story!! Janette Oke does such a marvelous job knitting words together to create a loving tale. Her words draw me in as if I'm there. I do enjoy the person reading the story yet the background sounds make me a little uncomfortable. Maybe they shouldn't,-- yet hearing her swallow and even her stomach growl just seems kind of awkward. I think it's more of a tech issue.

King's Shadow
Revisado: 03-16-23
In the beginning, I had a hard time getting into it because it's very political as far as what was going on during that time. This is not necessarily a bad thing-- I just had a hard time paying attention. As I got into the book and the characters, I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot!

My thoughts
Revisado: 03-05-23
By the end of the book, I became a fan. The main character's youthful attitudes grated on my nerves through most of the story. I guess it shows I have forgotten what it's like to be so young.

Liked this for the most part
Revisado: 09-02-21
I have listened to all 6 books in this series which indicates that I like this author. However, Luke was one of the main characters in this book and in past books his character was more on the periphery. I really dislike this character. He is a perfect example of a womanizer and every woman who is attracted to a womanizer thinks she can change their ways. The story line seems to support this falsehood. Luke was portrayed as if he had changed at the end. I felt the character was only putting his best foot forward to win the object of his desire. I wish the storyline had shown a true change in this character.
