Childish without the usual humour of Eggers

Didn't really enjoy it. Too many times it just felt like the main characters were children. I can't tell of the writing or the narration was poor bc too many times it was confusing if the main character was talking to someone or Kirsty talking to them in his head. I really loved egger's first couple of books but I've now read this and the circle and I think they will be my last from him.

I was expecting something more realistic

I thought the dictatorship would be more hard fought won. For me it came too easily, and people gave up rights and liberties too quickly it just didn't seem realistic. The topic was great, but what happened in the book can't happen here.

I’m sorry I waited so long to read this book.

Predictable and corny storyline

The concept was promising but the storyline was just too easy and predictable. The writing itself was very basic and clumsy. The audience of this book is probably early teenagers but then they wouldn't get most of the references.

story and characters were boring and predictable

I only got through it because I had 18 hours of driving to do. I tried to enjoy it, but realised a few hours in that the writing (and editing) aren't great.
The subject matter and the big picture theme were interesting, but the characters were single dimensional which left the entire book to be boring and predictable.
The best thing to come out of listening to this book is that I now know to avoid Jeffrey archer in the future.
The narration was good and is what kept me in there till the end.
