Historia
On a hot July night on Cape Cod when Adrienne was 14, her mother, Malabar, woke her at midnight with five simple words that would set the course of both of their lives for years to come: Ben Souther just kissed me. Adrienne instantly became her mother’s confidante and helpmate, blossoming in the sudden light of her attention, and from then on, Malabar came to rely on her daughter to help orchestrate what would become an epic affair with her husband’s closest friend.

It leaves a lasting impression
Revisado: 03-19-20
The narrator read the book with a voice that captivates and enthrall the reader from the beginning, relaying the story with a magnificence that is almost as great as the story is fascinating. The story bewitches the listener to spend all their free time listening to the book. It will make you want to call in to work just to finish it. I can't recommend this one more for any reader.

Washington Irving's two most famous stories are combined here. One tells of Rip Van Winkle, who escaped the dreadful life of a hen-pecked husband by magical means. The other is the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman on their midnight ride.

Read well but only has only one story
Revisado: 08-05-19
The story was read well and the narration was captivating however, I bought this book because it said that it contained both stories, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. However it only contained 1, which was The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. That was disappointing and the reason for my 1 star in overall performance. However if you just want The Legend of Sleepy Hollow then this would be a fine choice

Historia
Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Reader
Revisado: 02-16-18
The reader is great and really immersed you into the story. He sings every song and has great voices for all the characters. And, of course, The Hobbit is a classic. Everyone should read it.
