The narrator is very clear and breaks down the words into manageable syllables. Arabic can be very difficult to pronounce and far too many language apps and audio books just go full speed and lump the words together.

i find this audio book great to listen to when I'm driving or relaxing.

it also comes with a PDF to show how words are spelled. best of all it has the actual Arabic letters. i find the PDF great as even though the narrator is great, some words sound too similar.

this is one of, if not the only Arabic audio book I own that I don't regret buying.

The voice actors were great. though sometimes they sped through some words while settling on others.

the lessons predominantly focus on Egyptian Arabic with a smattering of Modern Standard.

Would I recommend buying this? No. This is basically a collection of their podcasts used as ads to buy their subscription service.

I'd recommend going to YouTube and listen to their channel and if inclined, buy their course. Though, I haven't gotten far in their website due to repeated login issues. Pod101/innovative language is great for learning more about the cultures rather than vocabulary.

I am mostly learning from Memrise and Lingq, for vocabulary. That supplements the lessons from YouTubers like Arabic Khatawaat (she's great), Let's learn Arabic, Imran Alawiye, and Learn to Recite The Qur'an.

I only listen to pod101 stuff and when driving. Their podcasts are usually fun to listen to.

Great narration but hated the story.

The lesser of evils was how often the story jumped around to many different characters, often in a jarring way.

But the biggest problem was that in the previous book it was made fairly clear that my favorite character would die.

I like the writing style and the other books I had read previously. The jester, crown tower, and professional integrity werewolf one, but I had to force myself to listen through this. That is with hitting the fast forward button numerous of times.

I get this is more like a gritty real life scenario, but the situation wasn’t realistic. It was silly. The events that lead up to their inelegant death were equally so.

So basically I forced myself to listen through stuff I didn’t care about to hear my favorite person die.

Worse was the minimal amount of screen time royce and hadrian had.

Most people won’t likely care, but now a good small portion of what I liked is gone and am not particularly eager to keep going.

Could have at least given them a better death. More realistic and less demeaning.

But I will probably listen to the rest of the series just for completion.

Anyway 0 stars for story, great narrator as always. Luckily his other books weren’t this annoying

Short but good.

It is a murder mystery with an abrupt ending. The characters were interesting the story ends the moment the true killer is revealed, which majorly sucks. I was reading for the main characters not that.
