Historia
In Inspired Imperfection, Gregory A. Boyd adds another counterintuitive and provocative thesis to his corpus. While conservative scholars and pastors have struggled for years to show that the Bible is without errors, Boyd considers this a fool's errand. Instead, he says, we should embrace the mistakes and contradictions in Scripture, for they show that God chose to use fallible humans to communicate timeless truths.

Had a lot of potential..but alas, another sermon
Revisado: 01-08-25
Started good with solid rational explanations. Then fell apart. Author explains all the hundreds of issues with the Bible solidifying how imperfect the Book is. Then later, cites verses in the NT in order to prove his point or theory. It seems this author struggles endlessly trying to separate his rational mind with his evangelical training. I honestly wonder if the author truly believes his own words in this book.

An Abridged Version of "The New Testament" Course
- De Justin Bailey en 09-03-15
Historically inaccurate and biased
Revisado: 07-25-24
Author starts off course saying their won't be any theology in this course. Chapter 3 is the professor sermon on "Faith Alone" and Pauls letter to the Romans. History shows that Martin Luther, not Paul the Apostle, developed the Doctrine of Faith Alone. A shaameless attempt to alter history.

Five hundred years after Luther's now famous 95 Theses appeared, Eric Metaxas, acclaimed biographer of the best-selling Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy and Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery, paints a startling portrait of the wild figure whose adamantine faith cracked the edifice of Western Christendom and dragged medieval Europe into the future.

30% informational, 60% sermon on what Luther meant
Revisado: 10-06-23
Dont buy this books if you are looking for historical facts or researching! The author feels compelled to tell you his own interpretations of the Bible and Luthers writings. Meanwhile, painting the boorish, brash, and anti-semetic, Luther as a jovial Friar Tuck! Seriously, 4 hours in and Luther hasn't pinned the 95 Thesis yet. Who has time to listen to this author preach? "In fact", The title of this book should just be titled "My 20 hour sermon"

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

I wouldn't recommend this book nor would I buy another in the series. I love D&D but this book is ridiculously exaggerated for effect.. You will find yourself hoping the whole party dies, wizard first. The story is riddled with unexplainable plot holes. I am not a fan of authors who give a certain monster a power in the beginning but then seem to avoid that power because it would ruin "the action" later on. This felt very cartoonish to me.

This book, Guitar Music Theory, has been written in a conscious effort to take the guitar enthusiast on an entertaining journey of learning, as well as to supply the intermediate player who's aspiring for mastery, with solid, result-oriented practice to ease his journey toward becoming a pro. You'll find that there are many approaches to this particular subject, but only a few provide guitar students with the kind of guide that works, without allowing boredom to set in.

Revisado: 09-07-22
Amazingly, no one bothered to edit this book. The author is wrong on several occasions. It's like a non-musician wrote or edited this book. Dont follow this authors teaching if you want to learn theory!

OMG! Henry Lincoln will bore the hell out of you.
Revisado: 04-30-22
Henry Lincoln spent his life going down a rabbit hole. He would like you to go with him to give his life meaning. I got both his books and have been unable to finish either one. He is an awful presenter of information. He will lose you in a whole chapter based on ambitious numbers. Terrible waste of time that goes no where.

I sincerely wish the author would make a sequel. It was perfect for me. This book isn't for the novice or amateur musician. Its quick and dirty music theory tips to help with song writing. I Example: If you don't know how to make the "Amen" ending sound with the 5th root, that's one of the tips. Cool stuff!

Super generic advice. Nothing game-changing or "foundational" going on in a 3 dollar book. Seems to me the author is trying make a quick buck.

Revisado: 06-19-21
It feels like people sell books just based on the name Drzzt, this would be one of them. No lie, 4 chapters in and I still couldn't tell you who the protagonist or antagonist was. Good narration but you can't polish a turd.
