I listen to many books here on audible. This story is in the top tier. The character development was outstanding, and the storyline was interesting to follow.

It is a nice introduction to a new character in a new world. I look forward to more books from this writer.

Disclosure: The author is my son and this book was so much more than I had expected. I have listened to the entire wheel of time series and every book involving Dritz. I am not a writer, but I do enjoy good books. This performance is among the best I have heard.

I look forward.to seeing reviews from others.

I had seen the movie so many times I thought why read the book. I am so glad I invested the time. as a submariner it felt very comfortable.

I thought the story was good, in the end I was not sure if it was Jack Ryan Jr or Bruce Willis.

better then the TV show

at work I mentioned the new show on prime, one of my coworkers suggested the audio book instead. I could not be happier

Start at the beginning

This is the 5th book in an outstanding series. it has all the things you need in a great story. An interesting plot, people who would want to get to know and of course exciting twists.

I do recommend the entire series starting with the first book. The author has developed the character through the series and I find that has made it feel like I was getting to know them.

I thought I had the story figured out, but it did not go quite as expected. I enjoyed not being able to project what would happen while still being able to envision other paths. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

surprising

The story was not what I expected, normally I read Clancy and Cussler. I like listening to Scott Brick so I tried this I found the story interesting and enjoyable. I was surprised it was not a nation against nation book or a someoennis stealing the treasure book. I found the idea interesting. I will look for more from this author.

Interesting read - Not what I expect

This was an interesting book that I almost turned off plenty of times. I made it through the end and have a better understanding of myself maybe, but did not end up with the concrete action plan I had expected. The stores we interesting, and I really admired the strength of those who took charge in their lives.

I have a hard time with subject matter broken down along race, gender, and LGBTQ areas. Not that I don't understand some of the social issues around the area, but sometimes I feel like it hurts the analysis to use that as the main starting point. I am not saying there are no issues in this area, but as a weird straight old white guy, I had to use a lot of identification skills to convert stories and ideas into my own life.

This was possible, though as I said not what I had expected. I did tell my boss - who always looks at me like I am strange, I now understand why I communicate the way I do and why conversations end awkwardly. He said why is that, I said because I am not very practiced in that area. I am sure this makes me seem a little strange. he said, "oh". After a brief silence, I walked away wondering why I felt the need to even share that fact.

These types of things are what allowed me to find common ground.

I still do not have the step-by-step guide I sought, but I have stories of people who preserved.

I very much enjoyed the story line.

in reference to the recording something makes it seem like they kept changing mics or something. annoying but Scott is a great reader so he did well. seems like a post recording issue.

I don't understand

I cannot figure out how this fits into the series. it did not feel like the other stories in the series.
