Historia
In John Scalzi's re-imagining of H. Beam Piper's 1962 sci-fi classic Little Fuzzy, written with the full cooperation of the Piper Estate, Jack Holloway works alone for reasons he doesnt care to talk about. Hundreds of miles from ZaraCorps headquarters on planet, 178 light-years from the corporations headquarters on Earth, Jack is content as an independent contractor, prospecting and surveying at his own pace. As for his past, thats not up for discussion.

Wil Wheaton is awesome just a bit too fast
Revisado: 03-11-16
“Sometimes in life you’re going to win and sometimes you’re going to lose. But just because you lose doesn’t mean the other guy needs to win.”
I loved this book, especially all the court-lawyer stuff. Don't judge me, but I found Jack Holloway to be pretty awesome!
This book, kind of sends a strong message about saving planets while being interesting and humorous and emotional.
John Scalzi mentions in the very beginning of the audio book that by the end you'll understand whyWil Wheaton narrates the book, personally I think his narration was awesome BUT he was a bit too fast for me.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Just Awesome!
Revisado: 03-09-16
Okay.. So tell me how can you be this sarcastically funny when you are stuck alone on a desolate P-L-A-N-E-T! I'd guess you have no other option. You try or you die.
I know Mark Watney is just a fictional character here but he is awfully smart and brave to keep it together knowing there is hardly a chance for him to live.
So coming to the book, I began reading the book since I knew I had 2 more days before I go to the movie, but then the plans changed I had to buy the audio book (because I wanted to read as much of the book as possible before I went for the movie). As I had read in many other reviews that there were some scientific details that made me sleepy.
But I have no complaints, because the joy and all the other terrible freaking emotions you go through this book are worth all the technical details that you could easily skip. This is the only reason it gets a star less.
By the end, I was like dancing.

I found the journal at work. Well, I don't know if you'd call it work, but that's where I found it. It's the lost journal of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors and visionaries ever. Before he died in 1943, he kept a notebook filled with spectacular claims and outrageous plans.

Quick, light and a pretty funny read
Revisado: 03-09-16
It is quite and if you are too much bothered by swearing, you might want to be prepared, because this one has a lot. Although sometimes that was what made laugh when Chip tries to communicate with Pete through Bobo.
This book can be said to be just a funny way to look at inter-dimensional travel and what might become of you if you were to find yourselves in a totally parallel different dimension.
Thanks to the author/narrator for providing me a free copy for review!

Historia
In a single drop of contaminated blood, there writhe millions of needle-shaped cells. When introduced to a host, they spread - healing wounds, replenishing fluids, patching bone. The host becomes unstoppable; even complete destruction of its brain isn't necessarily the end. All their cells are gradually replaced, enhanced. Eden Green is the third human to see the needles in action, after her best friend Veronica accepts them without thinking.

Story: Good
Plot: Good
Scifi element: Enough
Entertainment: May be
Characters: Okay I guess
Still 2 stars because, I wish, I really wish the narration was a little subtle and not so noisy. I liked everything but the narration got on my nerves so much that I had to struggle to finish the book.

I like anything robotic
Revisado: 10-01-15
Any additional comments?
I seem to like almost anything that has robots and their weird behavior in it, when SIMPOC is activated it initially the naive questions it has and the way it speaks "SIMPOC doesn't now how to do this" is quite funny.
It is a really a nice short story, where a deadly virus has wiped the entire human race on Earth and how SIMPOC hardly being into this world for a few days decides to take charge and save humans in a quite intelligent manner.
The narration was really good, with the robotic voices for all the computers, there was enough variation to know who was talking.

Not for the light hearted!
Revisado: 09-30-15
Any additional comments?
Another heart rending war story, this one is told from the PoV of few children Jada, Zak and Haytham. These and a few other kids are trying to reach a refugee camp, on their way they suffer and have seen so much that they are already growing up for their age, trying to learn how to kill, be smarter and calm. Not to fall for anyone, hide from the soldiers.
The hospitals and schools are being bombed, this is one of those stories that makes you shiver to just hear the plight kids and what they have to do in order keep themselves safe. The connections in story come totally as a surprise, I didn't see them coming.
Overall, this is a nice story but not for the light hearted, there is death and violence.

Dr. Flare and her students are researching on how to avoid an event caused by the radiation of the sun that may be pretty worse for Earth. After her parents' research, she is continuing that same research partly in order to restore her parents' reputation.
This is a nice short story about little scientific terms, like electromagnetic waves but it keeps you entertained.

What to expect on a zombie date?
Revisado: 09-01-15
Any additional comments?
Received a free copy of this audio book from publisher/author/narrator in exchange for an honest review.
I'm not at into watching/reading anything related to zombies but this one was very funny.
It's a tiny short story about 4 zombies Greg, Amy, Zed and Stef in a post-apocalyptic world where Greg and Amy meet/skull time through an app called ZDate created by Gary. It's about their adventures and difficulties they face during this. There is a tinge of humor about what these zombies talk and what difficulties you'd face on dating a zombie.
The narration was excellent by all the characters.

Historia
Little else in life is as dangerous as fire jumping. Flying past towering pillars of smoke, parachuting down to the edge of an all-consuming blaze, shoveling and sawing for hours upon hours, days at a time, all to hold the line and push back against the raw power of Mother Nature. But there’s also little else as thrilling - at least to Rowan Tripp. The Missoula smoke jumpers are one of the most exclusive firefighting squads in the nation, and the job is in Rowan’s blood: her father is a legend in the field. She’s been fighting fires since her eighteenth birthday.

1. Excellent narration by Rebecca Lowman.
2. The last 10 chapters forms the story effectively or (last 5-6 hours). You may skip more than half of the book or start reading from when Dolly dies.
