Historia
In 1474, a 23-year-old woman ascended the throne of Castile, the largest and strongest kingdom in Spain. Ahead of her lay the considerable challenge not only of being a young female ruler in an overwhelmingly male-dominated world but also of reforming a major European kingdom that was riddled with crime, corruption, and violent political factionism. Her pivotal reign was long and transformative, uniting Spain and setting the stage for its golden era of global dominance.

A different Isabela
Revisado: 04-16-23
This portrait of the queen is very different from the history
of the catholic queen that we are used to hearing, for example how she rose to the throne of Castile; the Beltranera is seldom mentioned and the civil war that presided her reign is not mentioned in the history books.
The time spent listening is time well spent.

Historia
The Strange Death of Europe is a highly personal account of a continent and culture caught in the act of suicide. Declining birth rates, mass immigration, and cultivated self-distrust and self-hatred have come together to make Europeans unable to argue for themselves and incapable of resisting their own comprehensive alteration as a society and an eventual end.

Does immigration means death to a continent?
Revisado: 09-28-21
Very informative, albeit not new, migration has always taken place in all continents you may ask the inhabitants of Gaul, the Balkans or the inhabitants of the new world, the Americas.
The book presents the problems but falls short on the solutions.
Nonetheless I’d recommend the book to those interested in the problems of migrations.
