Historia
It is the morning of the reaping that will kick off the 10th annual Hunger Games. In the Capitol, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his one shot at glory as a mentor in the Games. The once-mighty house of Snow has fallen on hard times, its fate hanging on the slender chance that Coriolanus will be able to out charm, outwit, and outmaneuver his fellow students to mentor the winning tribute. The odds are against him. He’s been given the humiliating assignment of mentoring the female tribute from District 12, the lowest of the low.

Snow lands on top!
Revisado: 02-08-24
The story was illuminating, shedding light on how Coriolanus Snow came to be President Snow, of the fated capital Panem. I didn’t care much for the narrator, finding his monotone to be a detriment, but the story was very interesting, and also quite relevant, showing the real faces of humanity, both the beautiful and the ugly.

Made me cry..
Revisado: 11-02-23
Such a wonderful and intense listen.. the nods to past stories in the SK universe make this so believable, and much loved. The narration is perfect, and I am so glad I have this in hardcover, because it just became one of my favorites!!

Historia
There are three ways up to Castle View from the town of Castle Rock: Route 117, Pleasant Road, and the Suicide Stairs. Every day in the summer of 1974, 12-year-old Gwendy Peterson has taken the stairs, which are held by strong (if time-rusted) iron bolts and zigzag up the cliffside. At the top of the stairs, Gwendy catches her breath and listens to the shouts of the kids on the playground. One day a stranger calls to Gwendy: "Hey, girl. Come on over here for a bit. We ought to palaver, you and me."

Enchanting
Revisado: 04-27-23
As with anything touched by Stephen King, this novella is gold! The collaboration between authors were spot on, and the story was well written, and narrated by Maggie Siff. Short story, maybe not worth a whole credit, but definitely worth a listen…

Enchanting!
Revisado: 04-14-23
This author never fails to delight the reader!! The tale is not only a pleasure to listen to, as told by the two narrators, but is funny, thrilling and a little bit racy for the time period!! I enjoyed every aspect of this listen!!

It couldn’t have come at a better time..
Revisado: 03-29-23
This series has helped me through some troubling times, and I couldn’t be more thankful! I have laughed, and snickered when I thought those days were long gone.. my sincerest thanks to this author, and to the narrator, for bringing this series to life, and being my “comfort food” in some of my darkest days. ❣️

Yes, it’s graphic..
Revisado: 03-15-23
Like others have stated, this is notably more graphic than other books by Mark Tufo, but it’s still a great story, excellent character development, and I happen to like the graphic nature of the book, as it enhances my appreciation of Zombie Fallout series. As always, the narrator tells it like it is.. and who can’t appreciate the realism behind that?

Was a great little story, but one I feel I have “heard” or maybe read somewhere before. Nevertheless, it was still very pleasing, and well performed by the narrator.
