Completely unsatisfactory. No closure. More questions than answers. Logic was non existent and it felt like the pieces of the puzzle were all from different boxes! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

HORRIBLE! So completely ridiculous and unbelievably contrived writing. I want my credit back and my time. Now I need a pallet cleanser with a piece of literature that isn’t a study in how to write a simpering FMC without a shred of personality or backbone. Every time a hot guy insults her and accompanies it with a “smirk”, it “goes straight to her core.” BARF!
There’s CHEATING, there’s LIES, there’s MISCOMMUNICATION, there’s ANGST… and then there’s BAD CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Well! This HAS IT ALL! Hard pass for me.

The story was sweet and charming. There’s a tiny bit of spice which is sewn in very well to the story line. I would definitely recommend!

The narration was fine. Not good, not bad, just fine. The story was disjointed and random. So many situations seemed forced and contrived. There was no flow between plot twists. It was like the authors took turns writing chapters and completely disregarded what was in the previous chapter. I would not recommend this book. I want these hours of my life back, but alas time travel slides me.

Hilarious and awesome!

I love the story line and progression from HOUSE OF DARKEN. The world building was vivid and character development was interesting and complex. You feel like you know these people. Either you are them or you know someone who is. The main characters are cheeky and sarcastic but also sympathetic and strong. The dialog is fantastic and hilarious! The inner monologues are spot on! I absolutely loved the narration on this book! She does a wonderful job of giving just the right amount of sass to the banter between characters. I highly recommend this book if you like to laugh and get pissed off at the same time all within the sci-fi genre.

This was so painfully awful.

The characters weren't very well developed and very one dimensional. World building was about all this book had going for it. I kept reading, hoping that the plot line would eventually go in a better direction. Never happened. One bad choice after another and another and ANOTHER, and then all of the sudden every thing works out with none of the ridiculously bad choices that the main characters have been making the whole time. If you're going to create characters with bad judgement, at least stay consistent. Waste of time money and brain space.

Ugh, what a waste of a good credit. Narrators voice was pleasant but the story development took FOR-EV-ER!!! Overall take on this book is “Bleh”. Don’t waste your time.

Too much world building, not enough story. Emma turned in to an absolute IDIOT and the story took forever to develop. Most of the book was spent "setting the scene" rather than telling a story. The vocals were great considering the lack of content. I would not recommend this book to anybody... except maybe my nemesis... I would totally recommend it to him!
