Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

One of King’s best
Revisado: 10-10-21
I find this hard to describe, it is a strong powerful novel in the realm of time travel of which Stephen King did a great job writing about.

One of my favorites!
Revisado: 06-07-21
Third time I listened to this story, a solid King story. Has with most of King’s books, it starts off a little slow, about half way through it starts to pick up. The last quarter of the book is when it really happens.

Revisado: 06-23-20
Don’t get me wrong, I love the story and liked the various actors. The reason I marked it down was that some times the music made it hard to hear the dialogue

Historia
Famed investigative journalist Eric Schlosser digs deep to uncover secrets about the management of America's nuclear arsenal. A groundbreaking account of accidents, near misses, extraordinary heroism, and technological breakthroughs, Command and Control explores the dilemma that has existed since the dawn of the nuclear age: How do you deploy weapons of mass destruction without being destroyed by them? That question has never been resolved - and Schlosser reveals how the combination of human fallibility and technological complexity still poses a grave risk to mankind.

Outstanding look into the history of Nuclear arms
Revisado: 08-13-19
A strong book covering not only the incident in Arkansas but also the long struggle to have an effective deterrent vs. an effective control of this very volatile weapon. Great insight to the Cold War and America’s Strategic (Air) Command and of the many accidents and incidents involving these weapons. You are left in amazement that “for the grace of god” there has never been a detonation of a nuclear weapon, and of the times the world was inches away from a nuclear war.
Wow, what a book!

A great story
Revisado: 08-12-19
This is the book that got me started on Robert Sawyer. Despite some of the other reviews, I have found this to be a good strong book that I have comeback to, third time reading right now. I think George Wilson does a great job performing/reading and is nicely paired to this story.

An excellent listen!
Revisado: 12-13-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Cloud Atlas to be better than the print version?
Due to the nature of the story and and the 'jumps' in the story line, changes in gramer and context that follows the shifts in the story line, it is quite a bit easier and more enjoyable to listen to this audio than trying to read the book.
Any additional comments?
After seeing the film first, I enjoyed the book much more
