Historia
After a youthful mistake, Lord Dillon's reputation is in tatters, leaving him vulnerable to aristo girls looking for a bit of fun. To restore his reputation and honor, he needs a handfast - a one-year contract of marriage. He sets his sights on Jillian, a young Eyrien witch from Ebon Rih, who he believes has only a flimsy connection to the noble society that spurned him. Unfortunately for Dillon, he is unaware of Jillian's true connections until he finds himself facing Lucivar Yaslana, the volatile Warlord Prince of Ebon Rih.

new narrator
Revisado: 09-03-09
You're getting closer McMillan audio but still not the right narrator. The first narrator sounded as though she was in her 30's and now this narrator sounds like she's 12. Zoey just turned 17 and she's lost her virginity. I feel like I'm listening to a tween narrate this book, it's just wrong. I totally heart this series but the narrators have let me down. If you can, read this series instead of listening to it. Not your fault audible, and I still love you. Can't wait for Tempted to come out!! You go Cast duo!!

Historia
Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampire and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change - and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampire Goddess Nyx.

Better read than listened to.
Revisado: 09-03-09
Okay. My older sister and I love this series. Mostly because it's about vampires, yes we're vampire groupies but also because it gives the reader a real good look into the lives of typical teenagers now-a-days. I first read this series and then when audible got the audio version I started listening to them again. My only quams are, as usual, the narration. This series is from a teenagers perspective. The books are written in teenager language. So why does the narrator perform the dialogue with such an adult delivery, also I hate when things are mispronounced, I mean come on if you're getting paid to perform something shouldn't you do your research and make sure you say the words right. This series is well worth buying but only in paper form. I heart you Cast women!!

Confused
Revisado: 08-20-09
I enjoyed listening to Wicked Lovely. I thought it had a good storyline and stuck to it. When I started Fragile Eternity I felt as if I had missed two books in this series. A lot happened in between the first and second book but the reader doesn't get a summary or flashback to catch them up. New characters get roughly introduced and the plot doesnt become apparent until halfway through the book. Not the best sequel. Oh yea, the narrator is now a guy? That threw me too. It would be alright with me if he actally tried to make the characters sound different. Alas, everyone sounds alike which makes this book even harder to follow.

Narrator Nightmare
Revisado: 03-27-08
I am an adamant fan of the Rachel Morgan series and her creator Kim Harrison but after the opening lines of The Outlaw Demon Wails I started to wish I was hearing impaired. Not only is the new narrator a horrible replacement for Marguerite Gavin but she constantly mispronounces key names and words already well established, as this is the 6th installment of the series. This Gigi women sounds as vapid as her name portrays. She gives the usually optimistic sounding charaters a very dark, mocking tone quick to irritate any faithful Marguerite fans. Not only should this book be redone by Harper Audio, with Ms. Gavin as the narrator, but this Gigi women should only be allowed to narrate Documentaries, if anything at all. Kim Harrison please do not subjugate your listeners to another book narrated by Gigi whatever. Thanks - A loyal listener and big fan of Rachel Morgan.
