Historia
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

This book has to have been written my a man hating woman. At every turn men are made to look like idiots and villains. Will be returning this one.

Historia
When the men find him, the boy’s legs look like they were run through a wood-chipper. He’s bleeding heavily and near death, but he still has strength to tell them of the monster that attacked him: a dark, massive creature that emerged from the bottom of the lake. The child dies before he can say more. Sheriff Billy Wintone has seen too much superstition, drunkenness, and rage in this small Ozarks town to believe the delirious boy’s tale of a monster lurking under the lake’s dark waters. Like it or not, however, Wintone must scour the woods for the man or beast who killed the child before the start of fishing season.

Challenge to listen
Revisado: 09-06-11
A decent story but the narrator reads like a 4 year old. Would keep me from buying another title with him as narrator. Like with Scott Brick I miss alot of good books because I can't stand his narration. Wish there was a way to pick the person you wanted to narrate your book. Would probably sell a lot more books.

It is now six years since the secret disaster at Jurassic Park, six years since the extraordinary dream of science and imagination came to a crashing end - the dinosaurs destroyed, the park dismantled, the island indefinitely closed to the public. But there are rumors that something has survived.

Ridiculous
Revisado: 01-07-08
I have always liked most of Crichton's books. They are well researched and fun to read(listen) to. This one is seriously flawed. I guess it helps the story to make the dinosaurs have human characteristics so I can live with that. What is unacceptable is having the characters attacked and not giving any notice to it in the interactions between the characters. It is just stupid to have someone tossed off a ship then found by the others and no one is appalled or makes a comment. Will probably finish this but only to see if it gets any worse. Crichton's later works are better. Don't bother with this unless you just want to laugh at the story line.

Historia
Straight out of today's hospitals and labs, and tomorrow's headlines, comes a frightening, scalpel-sharp thriller from medical insider Joshua Spanogle. In an astounding debut, Spanogle takes us on an all-too-real race against time as a young doctor enters the dark side of scientific research, desperate to stop a terrifying epidemic before it is too late.

Isolation Ward
Revisado: 04-04-06
Where to start on how poorly this book is written. Even Scott can't save this author's ridiculous attemps at humor. The chacters comments about situations are so unrealistic and infantile that they ruin the plot of the book. Actually the plot is OK but the main character comes off as stupid and peevish. I skipped to the end just to see how the author finished it. Every chapter is filled with off the wall comments by the main character. Will never purchase this author again. The ending is no better. What a waste of time.

Much more than expected from the title
Revisado: 08-02-05
This book has violence, insight, humor, love, respect, honor and depth beyond the story line. Narrator: Tom Stechschulte is excellent. He makes the characters come to life.
I could not put it down. This book will make you rethink some of your own values and appreciate your life for what it is. At least it did for me. The "country" wisdom is put in a take it or leave it fashion that does not seem forced on you but lets you draw your own conclusion. Very enjoyable listen.

Historia
Over the years, W.E.B. Griffin's stories of the military and police, told with crackling realism and rich characters, have won him millions of fans and acclaim as "the dean of the American war adventure" ( Publishers Weekly). Now he vaults into the present day with a series as exciting as anything he has ever written.

Great Griffin!!
Revisado: 01-31-05
I have always liked W.E.B. Griffin's books. I am happy to see them in audible. Would like to see the unabridged editions. Once you get a handle on the characters the books become more fun. His detail and military knowledge are a compelling part of the books. Although the characters are somewhat "super hero", why not? This is what makes the books fun to read. I think this kind of support for our military is just what public the needs to characterize the men and women who fight and die for this country. I hope this is the beginning of a long series of books with these characters.

Historia
In Berlin, a woman vanishes from the city streets. In Paris, a man plunges from the Eiffel Tower. In Denver, a small plane crashes into the mountains. In Manhattan, a body washes ashore from the East River. At first these seem to be random incidents, but the police soon discover that all four of the victims are connected to Kingsley International Group (KIG), the largest think tank in the world.

Are you afraid of the dark
Revisado: 10-28-04
I had to quit listening to this. After about 4 CDs I could not stand the flashbacks to the overly romantic syrupy naratives. I had forgotten that this is the mainstay of Shelden's work. Will not be downloading anymore of them.
