Historia
Have you ever wondered how we ended up in a world where personal feelings could become the authority for reality? Or why so many of us are on a relentless pursuit for happiness yet somehow feel more exhausted and sadder than ever? You're not alone. Melissa deftly traces the roots of today's social chaos back to a little-known (but very influential) 1800s philosophy known as New Thought

So good
Revisado: 02-23-25
All the study/research I would’ve wanted to do is combined concisely in a way that makes sense in this book. I still found myself doing extensive research and pausing to process lol because that’s just who I am. Processing is encouraged. If you’ve been influenced by New Thought at all ‘Happy Lies’ will cause you to wrestle and come back to Jesus and scripture! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I think it’s so necessary right now!

One of the best books I’ve ever read on understanding who God created YOU to be. I can tell she is an expert in her field as she gives great insight as well as great story telling that leads the listener closer to the best of themselves.

Historia
Women comprise at least half the world, and usually more than half the church, but so often Christian teaching to women either fails to move beyond a discussion of roles or assumes a particular economic situation or stage of life. This all but shuts women out from contributing to God's kingdom as they were designed to do.

Historia
If it's good, it must be God. Right? These days the terms good and God seem synonymous. We believe that what's generally accepted as good must be in line with God's will. Generosity, humility, justice - good. Selfishness, arrogance, cruelty - evil. The distinction seems pretty straightforward. But is that all there is to it? This audiobook will do more than ask you to change your behavior. It will empower you to engage with God on a level that will change every aspect of your life.

This book is so needed in this time as it reminds us of holiness and fear of the Lord with scripture, awesome analogies, and story telling. Highly recommend!

Historia
In keeping with the parable style, Patrick Lencioni begins by telling the fable of a woman who, as CEO of a struggling Silicon Valley firm, took control of a dysfunctional executive committee and helped its members succeed as a team. Story time over, Lencioni offers explicit instructions for overcoming the human behavioral tendencies that he says corrupt teams. Succinct yet sympathetic, this guide will be a boon for those struggling with the inherent difficulties of leading a group.
