It was okay until the author decided to whine about the supposed "gender pay gap". Wah, Implicit gender biases, wahh. Individual value is far more important than gender. True value is determined by the value an individual adds to an organization. I'm sorry that people weren't interested in women's soccer. I'm sorry that it doesn't sell tickets. The value of the women's soccer league is determined by the number of tickets they sell and not simply by their association with the US Soccer Federation. If they don't sell the same tickets as the men's games, then they're not as valuable to the organization. If a female employee doesn't contribute the same or more labor value to a corporation, then they're not as valuable. Has nothing to do with gender. Author recites some common negotiation strategies in this lecture.

when I look at books like these I always think, "oh, here we go again with another guru that wants to show me how to get laid", but this isn't really the case here. This book instead, provides a perspective that rationalizes certain dating behaviors within modern westernized societies and encourages the reader to think realistically on their approach to the landscape of these societies. The book encourages self growth and development and provides an inspirational ideology to live by.

Well read and easy to follow. Fascinating story about a boarding house in early 19th century France. I listened after listening to an economics book that mentioned this as a reference to the wealth dynamics of recent modern history.

Wealth Inequality

It was okay. Nothing groundbreaking. Many interesting points made. Better to read the book and analyze the charts than to simply listen. I can't help myself from saying that no, I don't agree with Piketty's proposed solutions to wealth inequality or international relations, but the book was well made.
