Historia
They are part of our daily lives. We watch them from our kitchen windows and backyard decks as they scurry over the branches of our tall oak trees. We laugh at their antics as they furiously bury and unbury their precious acorns. Yes, they are part of our lives and, though, sometimes a nuisance, we generally enjoy and tolerate them. But what happens when something goes wrong?

Rocky the squirrel
Revisado: 05-07-24
Although the premise is somewhat thin, the narration lifts this story with characters that are believable. The characters are well defined and consistent throughout the listen. I would have loved to have one particular squirrel redeem itself.

Historia
Told primarily through conversations, The Tuesday Girl is raw, witty, emotional, and ultimately inspirational. Tanya takes the listener on intimate dates, walks with friends, and conversations with people in her life. She falls in love with someone who she is certain is different from anyone she’s ever met, only to discover that he is a conman. Through it all, she relies on her friend Erin and learns that romance isn’t something that just happens in books—it’s something that runs throughout your own life.

Chortling and fist pumping by the end of chapter 61.
A rollercoaster ride almost all of us can relate to on some level.

Real respect.
Revisado: 06-30-23
In a literary world full of escapist time travel fantasy it is refreshing to find a main character with relatable flaws and human traits.
The narration was excellent. The author/narrator has obviously studied her craft. Perhaps another adventure with Lucy and Cassie will come along?

I really want a casserole!
Revisado: 10-06-20
It is not easy for anyone, in the middle of a pandemic, to get the feeling that they are among friends. But THIS helps! Beyond the recipes for comfort foods sprinkled with quips, stories, poetry and memories is the underlying feeling that the author is genuinely a pal you can just relax and chat with. Get a bit goofy. Tell some secrets. Giddy silliness and genuine caring. So often reviews are filled with words like "timely" and "important" Well, right now this is important as well as timely. Well done! (Pun intended)

Does she push her boundaries to even greater extremes by joining a sex chat website? She does all of this and a whole lot more! Interweaving a repressed and intimidating upbringing with her lively and uncensored search for sexual liberation (complete with writing erotic stories), Rosenberg discovers it’s never too late to find freedom and begin life anew.

Thought provoking.
Revisado: 08-25-20
As I listened to this book I could not help but wonder if I would have enjoyed it as much, or I if I would have enjoyed it at all, if I had read it on paper. The content is certainly adult in nature and the author deserves credit for being open and willing to discuss her experiences. The problem lies in the continuity of the story. Interspersed with the background story and the discovery chapters- detailing the authors awakening as an older but still sexual person- are an array of descriptive and titillating stories. These stories only tie into the book itself as more descriptions of sexual acts.
The narrators tone saved the book as far as I am concerned. Matter of fact but lighthearted when needed, she did not overdramatize the painful or sorrowful parts. Best of all the narrator was able to read many pages of human physical interaction without coming off as corny, overdramatic or silly.
I requested a copy of this audiobook and voluntarily left an honest review.

What? You don’t know Adam Wade? Here’s your chance! Adam Wade’s personal-yet-universal stories and vulnerable delivery have made him one of the most popular storytellers and comedians in the country on "story slam" platforms like The Moth and Comedy Central’s Whiplash. This Audible Original, performed on stage in front of a live audience, combines Wade’s greatest hits stories with entirely new material.

Revisado: 12-29-17
Rarely have I had the pleasure of encountering such a well rounded story with compelling characters and an engrossing plot. Key humorous elements, the clever use of names from a favorite novel and a sympathetic understanding of human nature made this a joy to listen to. The narration was beautifully paced . Never did I hear a word or tone out of place. Really remarkable.
