Great writing and narrating. What a cliffhanger! Looking forward to book 2! Best ghost story I have ever heard. I want to live in that manor!

Historia
After three tours in Afghanistan, homeless and hooked on painkillers, Lenny was working to pull his life together. He gave Annie the last of his oxy pills to ease the pain from her shoulder injury. But when she was found dead in her tent the next morning, Lenny wound up in jail accused of killing her with fentanyl. After a year behind bars, Lenny was finally about to get his day in court. But the uncertainty of the coronavirus threatened to delay his justice further. The evidence is compelling: a bottle with Lenny’s name, fingerprints, and DNA is found in the tent of the decedent.

Great story of timely issues
Revisado: 03-10-24
Fentanyl is a hazard to everyone. As a nurse, I gave it via a computerized injection machine and double checked by another nurse. It was rarely used. This story combined the epidemic of drug use, homelessness and the pandemic in a way that showed the true nature of all 3.

Good story and narrator
Revisado: 02-13-24
These novels are always interesting but are basically repeated in each book. There is always an indigent client accused of murder and the story of the investigation and trial are explained. The client is always found not guilty.

Narrator was not as bad as portrayed

David Baldacci never disappoints. The story was complicated, detailed and moved rapidly. I had no problems listening to this narrator. Highly recommend the entire series.

Not up to usual standard
Revisado: 10-31-23
This book was disappointing. The narrator made it difficult to even keep up with the story. The plot was slow and cumbersome. The ending was abrupt and left the story hanging. I have loved all of the Prey novels up to this one. It seemed like someone other than John Sandford wrote it.

The White House is the home of the president of the United States, the most guarded, monitored, closely watched person in the world. So how could a US president vanish without a trace? And why would he choose to do so? An unprecedented collaboration between President Bill Clinton and the world's best-selling novelist, James Patterson, The President Is Missing is a breathtaking story from the pinnacle of power.

Great story, narration not so
Revisado: 10-21-23
This story is very realistic and well told. I’m not a fan of 4-6 minutes for each chapter. I prefer longer chapters that tell the story. Most of the narrators were very good but the voices of most of the women in the story were terrible. I understand why music was played during a lot of the story concerning the assassin, but found it difficult to hear the voice over the music. Overall, I highly recommend this book. The epilogue was clearly written by former President Clinton. His thoughts show exactly why I voted for him—twice.

Good plot, poor writing and narration
Revisado: 10-19-23
The plot of the book was interesting but the writing was very poor. The multiple narrators were confusing and distracting. This book was far below the earlier book by these authors.

Revisado: 07-19-23
Story was wonderful. Narrator was awful. The rise and fall of his voice required rewinding to hear exactly what he said. The gruff voice of Hoyt was laughable.

Terrific story with good narrator
Revisado: 10-02-22
I enjoyed this trilogy very much. The story was well written and believable. I would have liked to see a few less obstacles for Dr Riley Poole but overall, the story was a page turner! The only negative I noticed was the geography. I hope no one would backtrack as much as these travelers did. It was confusing and a bit of a distraction. Still a great listen/read.
