Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Disappointed
Revisado: 04-09-25
Just another story that reiterates the same boring theme…life is happy and then sad and you can’t escape any of those emotions. It’s just perspective. Live life…whatever. This was so depressing.

Historia
From New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Freida McFadden comes the next installment of the unbelievably twisty, tension-packed and globally bestselling Housemaid series. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone listen: and once you start, it will have you up all night until the final explosive twist.

Millie was different
Revisado: 02-10-25
Overall, I enjoyed the story, however it was different to see Millie seem weak in the first 2/3 of the book. I didn’t quite understand why we had to go back to a “hidden room” scenario…these characters had nothing to do with the first story. Overall, glad they prevailed, but it was my least favorite of the three.

I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....

Historia
Ninety-one-year-old Gretel Fernsby has lived in the same well-to-do mansion block in London for decades. She lives a quiet, comfortable life, despite her deeply disturbing, dark past. She doesn’t talk about her escape from Nazi Germany at age 12. She doesn’t talk about the grim post-war years in France with her mother. Most of all, she doesn’t talk about her father, who was the commandant of one of the Reich’s most notorious extermination camps. All The Broken Places moves between Gretel’s girlhood in Germany to present-day London as a woman haunted by the past.

Rivers is always enjoyable
Revisado: 09-20-24
Francine Rivers never disappoints. At times the central mother/daughter relationship was hard to listen to, but obviously realistic and I always enjoy how God is woven throughout the story and always present!

OUTSTANDING! Such an enjoyable read that opened my eyes to a war I never knew much about.
Revisado: 05-16-24
I hate to admit, I had older cousins who served in this war when I was a young girl and I never knew anything about their experiences. It was never discussed, only their mental health issues and addictions they came home with. This was so eye opening and helped me gain a perspective I would’ve never imagined. Thank you for a beautifully written novel that gave me such an education. GOD BLESS ALL WHO SERVED.

Though I was intrigued by the setting and kept waiting to uncover an interesting connection between the setting and the killings, I was disappointed as to the motive behind them and the actual murderer.
