Really fun read much in the tradition of Thursday murder club, but with all new characters and foils, the narration was terrific the characters interesting and while a bit derivative from Thursday murders still fun and quirky. The resolution was a bit dicey, but the ride to it well worth the trip really hope the series continues.

Kept me reading and mostly liked the multiple points of view but the ghost story and its narrator were a bit over the top

Compelling read about the origins of quantum theory with factual history, intermingled with speculation around personalities and interactions fun to learn and fun to think

Other reviewers have said it better, but while it takes a bit to get into it once it gets going narrator brings to life, the many different kinds of people with terrific back stories and dialogue and a compelling tale of changing times centered around to communities in a changing town. Poignant, funny heartbreaking redeeming this book has it all very very enjoyable.

Very well narrated and a really interesting story that’s a classic. I had never read there is a foolish chapter in the middle and a bit of a disappointing end but overall well worth a read if you’ve never read it and well worth telling your children.

This is a fun lesson heard about it on the Gist. Nothing spectacular but it moves quickly kept you thinking some standard sorts of tropes but overall entertained me for a couple of hours.

There was a lot to love about this book with some great stories the compelling interest around a library interesting characters and a great mix of history and current times. You will learn a lot about libraries of the past and where libraries are headed. The downsides are a narrative that keeps flipping back-and-forth it makes it a bit hard to know what’s next of times. And the narrator who really should get someone else to read her books for her as she doesn’t have the chops to do a compelling job of this and her attempt at speaking Spanish or German etc. are just terrible and the times almost feel racist. She’s a professional writer she should get a professional reader.
