Johnson and Truman
Revisado: 09-06-23
Two of the greats chatting with each other. Johnson, the consummate politician, calls former President Truman to wish him Merry Christmas. Of course , Johnson was also patting himself on the back for getting done was Truman attempted twenty years prior , civil rights, Medicare etc. Johnson would be great if it wasn’t for the tragedy of Vietnam. A great listen.

Historia
"I’m James Taylor and I’m a professional autobiographer", says the celebrated folk singer at the start of this tender audio memoir. Through decades of music by one of the best-selling musicians of all time, who created classics like "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind", James Taylor has doled out his history in the poetry of his work. Taylor says his early life is, "the source of many of my songs", and Break Shot is a tour of his first 21 years in rich, new detail.

James Taylor Is an American Treasure
Revisado: 02-04-20
I had the privilege of seeing James Taylor in the late 60’s at The Bitter End. His ability to weave brilliant yet simple lyrics that profoundly touches us is amazing. His narration of this incredible life is soothing and profound. I will listen again and again.

In Washington: A Life celebrated biographer Ron Chernow provides a richly nuanced portrait of the father of our nation. This crisply paced narrative carries the reader through his troubled boyhood, his precocious feats in the French and Indian War, his creation of Mount Vernon, his heroic exploits with the Continental Army, his presiding over the Constitutional Convention, and his magnificent performance as America's first president.

Excellent read. I have a total new appreciation for this American hero. Juxtaposed to present leadership , he showed that this selfless, driven person does exist. America needs Washington again .
