A bit of disappointment for this new book.

Humm I totally enjoyed the first 3 boos.
But thought this Heaven’ River, was a bit of a let down, to much technical information and was flat in the story line jumped around, and why was “Bill, Bridget, and Garfield, l Listend very carefully to the story line and could not follow the line.
I will still listen to Dennis.

Nice change.

Mr Taylor has given the space opera a great shot in the arm with a new perspective.
By creating one being that grows ever more prolific. The others, colonists, the pav and deltons. And Ray Porter as the reader was a great choice for this series. I do hope that Mr Taylor will add a few more to this series. A wonderful series, will recommend to my friends and to all listeners of audible books.

Where can you go from here? I sure hope you don't retire the series, this was another great listen. Joshua Dalzelle has become one of my favorite authors, the way he melded the characters together and the storyline flows through out the entire series is wonderful,

A good solid effort at a Space Opera

Starting with Ark Royal, this series ( 6 so far ) keeps the wars with different aliens and domestic countries, on the edge of you ear listening for the next chapter. British writers have a tendency to stretch the dialogue with to many un-useable cluttered back ground verbiage, which drags the story way to much. But over looking that the book is great. The narrator is also great. Everyone that loves si-fi space operas should really enjoy this series. As I listen to audiobooks like a fish in water I am impatient for the next book....so come on writers get to typing, I'm gettn really impatient.
Of course I'll wait...dot want to seem to be pushing.

Took me by surprise!

The book started off just like any other space opera, but to my surprise it drew me in as I got to know the characters. Joshua's writing skill moved me in to the story line and I found my self staying up at night (sometimes all night) to finish hearing the book & the 6 others in the series. I was sad to finish the 7th book, I wanted more !!! And still do. I hope to see more of Jason and his zany crew soon.
I have over 200 audible books in my library and have written a few reviews and only comment on books That (in my own opinion) are good listens.
So keep the good books coming Joshua, and I'll keep buying them.
The narrator was good also.
