Too risqué for my taste
Revisado: 10-04-22
The storyline was good but the risqué parts could have been omitted. I ended up skipping parts of the book to get past those parts.

Captivating Historical Fiction
Revisado: 05-10-16
What made the experience of listening to The Union of the North and the South the most enjoyable?
The narrator, Kendall Atkins Livick, did a wonderful job of differentiating between the characters.
Any additional comments?
Historical fiction is my favorite genres and I was overjoyed when Ann informed me I won the Goodreads drawing. From the start, I was pulled into the time period and vivid scenery. The character development throughout the book is captivating as we watch Laura mature and apply Biblical principles such as kindness and forgiveness. I am anxiously awaiting the sequel!
