I listen to several thrillers and murder mysteries each month. I was happy to find a great story with gay leads that everyone will care about. There are several graphic gay sex scenes that might make some uncomfortable (as I am listening to graphic hetero sex scenes). Best to listen away from children and others who might complain. I loved the familiar Orange County settings, too. I hope there is more to come in this genre.

While I enjoyed Mortal Remains, the ending came on too quickly. This book could have been twice as long. I was looking for another twist or turn at the end, but it never came.

The narration was wonderful and the time and characters come to life in this book from the point of view of Eliza "Betsy" Hamilton. I very much enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
