I also had many hardships growing up. Abuse, neglected, single mom in section 8 housing. Being a victim of racism as a white boy in a predominantly black neighborhood. I got beat down and called honkey or cracker by groups of black and mexican kids often. I still stood back up strong. I never wanted to be a statistic, and it has driven my success. I make mistakes, fail and get back up. I still I feel like I need to prove something to the world at 40. This book is so relatable, but David did it 10 times harder. It gives me inspiration, knowing that there are a lot of people just like me out there. Thanks Goggins

Great book. I wish this was reading material in schools when I was growing up. This is the type of financial advice I never got growing up. Such a great story too. I will read again
