Historia
A classic thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Crichton, Sphere is a bravura demonstration of what he does better than anyone: riveting storytelling that combines frighteningly plausible, cutting-edge science and technology with pulse-pounding action and serious chills.

Boring story. Weak plot.
Revisado: 01-09-25
I cannot believe how boring and thin the plot in this book is. The characters are all unlikable. Lazy writing structure. Harry said, Beth said , Ted said… etc and so on over and over again. Clunky af.

Historia
“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

Fabulous stories. Will Patton may be my fav narrator EVER.
Revisado: 07-29-24
I wish Will Patton had narrated all of the stories because as amazing a writer as Steven King is, he does not compete with Will as a narrator. However, these are excellent, enthralling short stories that showcase King’s unceasing talent, and Will Paton’s voice talents truly shine. I feel like listening to him telling a story is like soaking in a warm bubble bath, sipping a glass of of wine. Just delicious.

Overall? Very good. But, a pdf of the art work discussed in the book is very much needed.

I have to completely concur with all the other five star ratings on this book, it was captivating, thought-provoking, and beautiful, and I loved every second of it.

Historia
In the wake of his parents’ tragic deaths in a house fire, fourteen-year-old Richard Elauved has been sent to live with his aunt and uncle in the remote, insular town of Ballantyne. Richard quickly earns a reputation as an outcast, and when a classmate named Tom goes missing, everyone suspects the angry new boy is responsible for his disappearance. No one believes him when he says the telephone booth out by the edge of the woods sucked Tom into the receiver like something out of a horror movie. No one, that is, except Karen, a beguiling fellow outsider.

Might be ok for Tween readers, but I was very disappointed. Did not even finish it.
Revisado: 11-14-23
I have purchased and read every single one of Joe Nesbo’s Books, so I was excited to see that he had written another one. I did not realize it was.YA, but I have enjoyed a lot of literature aimed at younger audiences, such as Harry Potter, etc.
However, I have to say that, even though the writing is good, as always, the plot was dismal, I don’t know if he even has an editor anymore because they were huge gaps in plot that just made no sense it was like he was just writing scary things happening, but they didn’t make any sense as a whole picture. It really felt like a lazy book, written just to keep publishing some thing. I have to admit, I’m very disappointed, and I couldn’t even get a refund because audible wouldn’t allow it for some reason.
