Historia
Shetty grew up in a family where you could become one of three things—a doctor, a lawyer, or a failure. His family was convinced he had chosen option three: Instead of attending his college graduation ceremony, he headed to India to become a monk, to meditate every day for four to eight hours, and devote his life to helping others. After three years, one of his teachers told him that he would have more impact on the world if he left the monk’s path to share his experience and wisdom with others.

All I could ask for and more.
Revisado: 10-25-20
From his voice, to the content, examples, Jays heart for humanity, service and betterment of himself and the world shine through.
I listened once for an overview, making notes along the way. I will now start a second time and KNOW this is a trusted and value resource to help me onto the path of a “better way.” How ever many times I listen I will find something deeper and new.
Blessings. Love. Gratitude and thanksgiving for this book. For you and you’re work, Jay. I hope this review finds you, as this book found me on the darkest of days. It’s the hope I need to keep pushing forward. All I need is inside. This will help me tap into it.
GET THIS BOOK. Life altering.

PLEASE READ - it depends .
Revisado: 11-03-19
Andy deserves more than a one-star for the message - BUT, and this is a big but, It is a message that needs to be heard by people who are young, or who have time to change their ways. As a person who lives every day filled with the remorse and grief of the daily choices made - which is the thrust of Andy's message, I was up all night crying, instead of feeling like the question could be meaningful for me moving forward.
It is of course very meaningful - for anyone. But I needed to put this out there. If you are a person who already may have done irreparable damage, this might not be the best choice for you. The message is to be thoughtful about the implications of today's choices on tomorrow, TRUTH - all valid scenarios, all valuable information to implement WHILE YOU STILL HAVE TIME.
Although it's never too late in God's economy moving forward, God does not represent a giant eraser that can take away the harvest of what we as free-willed individuals have already sewn. As such, hearing this was a reminder of everything I had already done wrong - and it was massive wrong-doing on my part. I thought it would have been presented in a more uplifting way - but running through the scenarios depicted brought me back to places I have worked so hard to climb out of.
HOWEVER, If I taught pre-marriage class, life-coaching, counseling, or was in charge of any type of youth group or organization that could benefit from a real-life perspective, no B.S. layout of what life WILL become when we DON'T ask the question - I would make sure this book was a part of the curriculum. Absolutely. It's all true. We reap what we sew, and we often sew self-centered seeds thinking we are the only ones in the situation we face. We lose sight of the bigger picture and the people that matter most.
For anyone who has already blown things up, and live with that harsh reality, this may not be what you want to listen to,
Moving forward - make sure you check in with yourself to be sure that your choices align with the most important things: God, family, friends. Be intentional with your decisions, abstain from temptations as much as you can, but don't re-hash the scenarios in your head if you have already blown unless you feel strong enough emotionally to do so.

Remarkable. Timeless words of wisdom that many others teach and preach today. Mindfulness, etc. however, hearing the text written so simply, plainly with examples from famous people who had “it all” yet nothing simultaneously due to worry makes one step back in a tangible, sincere way. Ideas are only useful if put into practice. We put into practice that which is relatable. This book should be required reading in every college and organization. Also, the NARRATION is equally as soothing as the principles set forth. Dale Carnegie was indeed an impactful person, and so we can all be by applying wisdom such as this. Sharon C.
