Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

Ok you've just got to listen to this book!
Revisado: 07-23-17
In the face of totally depressing political mishegas Allen Franken is the voice of reason. Allen Franken! Thanks Allen for the light at the end of the tunnel...thanks Allen for that not being an oncoming train...oh yeah it is a train and we're probably going to be run over. Thanks for suggesting we get off the track by getting on track and trusting that we are reasonable. Ok you've just got to listen to this book.

Historia
February 1862. The Civil War is less than one year old. The fighting has begun in earnest, and the nation has begun to realize it is in for a long, bloody struggle. Meanwhile, President Lincoln’s beloved eleven-year-old son, Willie, lies upstairs in the White House, gravely ill. In a matter of days, despite predictions of a recovery, Willie dies and is laid to rest in a Georgetown cemetery. “My poor boy, he was too good for this earth,” the president says at the time. “God has called him home.”
