Historia
Elbryan and Pony - soul mates from childhood who grew even closer over time - fervently hope that the tide of darkness is at last receding from the land of Corona. Yet if evil is on the retreat, why are hordes of goblins and bloody-capped powries slashing their way ever deeper into civilized lands? A sinister threat now looms over Corona, for the power of the demon dactyl was not entirely vanquished by the sacrifice of the monk, Avelyn Desbris.

Great book with inconsistent sound quality
Revisado: 03-05-24
I love the book, and the reader was fine. However the sound quality was inconsistent. Sometimes mid-sentence it would change to sound like it was coming from the bottom of the bucket. I don’t know why, but it happened quite a few times throughout and was distracting from the story. The book itself is great!

Historia
In this assortment of spine-chilling tales, 22 voices shine a strobe light on the cultural demons that lurked in the background while they came of age in the heyday of satanic panic, slasher flicks, milk carton missing, music television, video rentals, and riot grrrls. These Gen-X storytellers once stayed out unsupervised until the streetlights came on, and what they brought home with them is nothing less than sinister.

Great book!
Revisado: 02-12-22
I really enjoyed all the stories. As a Gen X-er myself the stories had some nostalgia mixed in with the horror. Every story was great and some will definitely stick with me for a while. I recommend it for anyone, but especially if you are a part of Gen X also.

Historia
Polgara is the epic culmination of a magnificent saga, and a fitting farewell to a world which, once experienced, will never be forgotten.
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for three thousand years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles.

I listened to the first eleven books all read by the same person. It makes sense for this to be a female voice. But after eleven books why did no one make sure the pronunciation of places and people was the same? Was there no one to tell her? It grated on my nerves every time she pronounced something differently.

Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.
