Historia
Janie Kayrs has known Zane almost her whole life. He was her friend in the dream world. She trusted him. But that was before he kidnapped her, spiriting her away to an isolated cabin to learn what her dreams never told her. Like how dangerous he looks. How he got on the wrong side of the negotiating table. And how much sexier he is in real life....

Hated for it to end!
Revisado: 03-04-25
I just started the series and love it. This book felt like and a new beginning. Rebecca Zanetti wrapped up this first phase of the Dark Warrior’s series almost perfectly. Only almost because I would have liked to get a better glimpse into the shifters, but maybe the kids will show up in the next phase.
Highly recommend this series but start at the beginning.

Historia
An escaped spider, the unexpected arrival of an Imperial Russian Prince, the senseless assassination of a powerful figure, a shocking attack on the supposedly invincible Warden of Texas, Catalina’s boss... And it’s only Monday. Within hours, the fate of Houston—not to mention the House of Baylor—now rests on Catalina, who will have to harness her powers as never before. But even with her fellow Prime and fiancé Alessandro Sagredo by her side, she may not be able to expose who’s responsible before all hell really breaks loose.

Decent
Revisado: 02-15-25
Could have been wrapped up better. I’m not a fan of terrible people being given a convenient pass. Narrator was decent but not great. Some of the characters sounded too old or too feminine.

Historia
Pediatrician Kent Abner received the package on a beautiful April morning. Inside was a cheap trinket, a golden egg that could be opened into two halves. When he pried it apart, highly toxic airborne fumes entered his body - and killed him. After Eve Dallas calls the hazmat team - and undergoes testing to reassure both her and her husband that she hasn’t been exposed - it’s time to look into Dr. Abner’s past and relationships. Not every victim Eve encounters is an angel, but it seems that Abner came pretty close.

Mediocre story, needs new narrator
Revisado: 05-22-23
I took a break from this series years ago because Eve was annoying and the worst example of a cop who goes after people regardless of their innocence. She hasn’t grown much and doesn’t seem to want to. Still being disrespectful to Summerset, still dismissive people’s feelings, afraid of babies, unnecessarily nasty to people, uncomfortable with beauty treatments even when she likes the results.
On another note, listening to the first couple books and now these later ones, Susan is sounding too old. Not her fault, people age and so do our voices. She’s a great narrator and it would take getting used to but it’s time for a switch. Ilona Andrews realized this about her narrator as well.
Like a fool, I’ll keep picking it up to see it through but I’m more interested in the side characters.

Historia
With wings of midnight and an affinity for shadows, Jason courts darkness. But now, with the Archangel Neha's consort lying murdered in the jewel-studded palace that was his prison and her rage threatening cataclysmic devastation, Jason steps into the light, knowing he must unearth the murderer before it is too late. Earning Neha's trust comes at a price - Jason must tie himself to her bloodline through the Princess Mahiya, a woman with secrets so dangerous, she trusts no one. Least of all an enemy spymaster.

Hate Jason’s Woman
Revisado: 05-28-22
Jason’s story was a letdown. I couldn’t get into his love interest at all. She’s, by far, the weakest of them all so far. No, not everyone has to be a fighter but this one had no backbone. Very frustrating.
As far as the narrator, she’s tolerable and her male voices are subpar just like most female narrators. I have images of big strong deep voiced men and then a female narrator ruins it.
Not their fault, women can’t really pull off a man’s tone very well.
