Nothing new, but well presented
Revisado: 04-30-19
It's tough to create a new spin on this kind of content and the author certainly did not do so. However, it was a short and concise book with less woo than most. There were a few nuggets of new info here and I was grateful for that. It's well written and well performed. While I frequently would not like a simplified "one hour refresher", the author did a great job with it -- so five stars all around. :)

Historia
In the year 2243, the Moon belongs to the dead. The largest graveyard in the solar system, it was the perfect solution to the overcrowding and environmental problems that had plagued mankind for centuries. And the perfect place for Cali Washington to run away from her past. But when a mysterious meteor crashes into one of the Moon’s cemeteries, Cali and her fellow Caretakers find themselves surrounded by a terrifying enemy force that outnumbers them more than a thousand to one. An enemy not hindered by the lack of air or warmth or sustenance. An enemy that is already dead.

Even Peter Clines can't make every book a winner
Revisado: 04-15-19
I'm a huge Clines fan. So far, I've loved every book...except this one.. I found it REALLY difficult to finish. I didn't like the characters and I couldn't remember their names (because I didn't care about them). Supposedly this was the next book in the series, but I really didn't like that it took place in the future.
I'll hungrily wait for the next Clines book. I'm hungry for more, really hungry.

Pretty basic stuff, unfortunately.
Revisado: 03-26-19
I guess I should not have had high expectations for a 3 hour book, but I guess I had hope. There's nothing inherently wrong with this book, it's just that there's nothing all that outstanding either. Everything here is pretty much from the first chapter of LOA 101 :)
Dr. Jill Ammon-Wexler claims, of course, to be a doctor -- but I've searched and searched and I cannot find where she got this degree. I'm not suggesting it's untrue, but most people like to brag a bit about where they get their Ph.D. degrees. If I had to guess (and it is a guess), it's probably some some non-accredited "metaphysical university." While this does not discount her work or her advice, I do think it's fascinating.

Poorly Organized Superficial Content
Revisado: 03-20-19
I don't even know where to begin. If you're thinking about getting this, don't. You'll be disappointed. If you can get past the poorly organized content, you'll just be angry at the amount of spurious "filler" content to make the book more than an hour long. To make matters worse, the narrator seems to not understand how to pronounce very basic words and it constantly putting the wrong emphASIS on the wrong syllABLES....over and over and over.
On a side note: Be wary of the many positive reviews that came flooding in. Read them carefully and note that they sound less than legit. I personally suspect these are paid positive reviews to help inflate book sales.

It was supposed to be just another mission. But when the dig goes silent, an elite team of battle-hardened military contractors is brought in led by former Marine Max Ahlgren. Boring and Cliche
Revisado: 03-20-19
I hate giving negative reviews and I rarely do, but omg...I had to force myself to finish this. There was nothing special or interesting about this book. It was just your average run-of-the-mill soldiers-vs-aliens story where people get picked off one at a time. There were no details offered, no motivations of the aliens, no background of interest. This is the perfect book to turn into a low budget Amazon Prime movie.
The most humorous part was the very end where we were given a GI Joe cartoon "and knowing is half the battle" lecture about the plight of soldiers (which seems kinda disrespectful considering it's at the end of a soldiers-vs-aliens" book).
If you're like me and were hoping to hop into a great series, keep looking --- this ain't it.
Apologies to the author for being so harsh :)

Ignoring the fact that her voice was really annoying, it makes no sense to have this as an audio program. She's instructing various movements, but there's no way to see what she's wanting.

Historia
This book is a companion to the groundbreaking ideas that began with The Messengers. It is a further exploration into the connection, both symbolic and literal, between owls and UFOs. There is a strangeness to these accounts that defies any simple explanation. Each chapter tells a deeply personal story where these mysterious experiences are explored in depth. The ancient mythology of the owl is repeating itself within the modern UFO report. What plays out is a journey of transformation, with an owl at the heart of each story.

Complete nonsense and, Imho, intentionally fake.
Revisado: 10-24-18
I'm so disappointed. The original Messengers book was on my want-to-read list for a long time. I wasn't familiar with Clelland's work, but I thought he might have insight on Jungian archetypes of the owl, etc....at least that was the impression I got. Finally this book (which is kinda a part 2) became available in audio format so I snatched it up. OMG....such nonsense. Look, while I can be skeptical, I'm often willing to suspend disbelief for a bit so I can better sync with an author to understand the world from their perspective -- but this book as simply asking too much suspension. In my opinion, it's outright fakery.
The stories told in this book is nothing more than adults playing make-believe. I'm not sure where make-believe ends and author-lying begins. There seems to be very little facts, few few tangibles, and nothing but complete cotton candy fictional fluff.
I'm really disappointed as I had high hopes.

I LOVE Voyager. I really had hoped there'd be an entire series of Voyager audios and I'd buy them still -- but this one was so uneventful. The dialog was terrible and, well, there really wasn't much from the actual Voyager crew. Buy it if you're loyal to Voyager, but be warned that it's not very Voyager

Boring and unoriginal
Revisado: 09-13-18
The only redeeming part of this book was the almost-surprise ending which could've been explored a bit more.
Honestly, I dunno why I didn't return this book after an hour or so. The writing and story was very basic -- "First I was here and did this....then I was here and did this....later I was here and did this." It just didn't seem very inspired.
On the other hand, I love the narrator. This was the second book I've had narrated by Christopher Lane and he's quite good and entertaining. I might just start looking for books read by him :)

I was expecting just another time travel story (and it was) but it had a completely different vibe than I expected. At first, I thought the narrator was a poor choice and that the book would bore me --- I was wrong. The narrator actually reminded me of my grandpa (accent and all). It was amazing.
