Painful
Revisado: 02-28-18
This book is a ridiculously painful experience.
While Hannah is a brilliant writer, the twists and turns in this book play with your emotions too much. It reminds me of when I watched Manchester by the Sea and afterwards felt as though my real family members died. I appreciate her writing capabilities and learning about life in Alaska but the novel was too long and made me feel too upset.

Historia
In 2008, Isabelle - a self-made 30-something Wall Street star - appears to have it all: an Upper West Side apartment, three healthy children, a handsome husband, and a high-powered job. But her reality is something else. Her trading-desk work environment resembles a 1980s frat party, her husband feels employment is beneath him, and the bulk of childcare and homecare still falls in Belle's already full lap.

Hard to feel sorry for someone making over a million a year
Revisado: 02-18-16
The story was mildly interesting but highly repetitive. The storyline shifted between the perils of being a working mother, the troubles of being a female on Wall Street and trying to balance life. It was hard to warm up to Belle as she made her life choices.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Historia
Brett Bohlinger has forgotten all about the list of life goals she’d written as a naïve teenager. In fact, at 34, Brett seems to have it all—a plum job at her family’s multimillion-dollar company and a spacious loft with her irresistibly handsome boyfriend. But when her beloved mother, Elizabeth, passes away, Brett’s world is turned upside down. Rather than simply naming her daughter the new CEO of Bohlinger Cosmetics, Elizabeth’s will comes with one big stipulation: Brett must fulfill the list of childhood dreams she made so long ago.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lori Nelson Spielman? Why or why not?
Maybe, but I found this book to have such an silly story line that the next book would have to come highly rated for me to try it
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where Brett finds out that the man in the Burberry coat is Dr. Taylor. Very predictable but satisfying nontheless

Historia
In her best-selling debut, Commencement, J. Courtney Sullivan explored the complicated and contradictory landscape of female friendship. Now, in her highly anticipated second novel, Sullivan takes us into even richer territory. For the Kellehers, Maine is a place where children run in packs, showers are taken outdoors, and old Irish songs are sung around a piano. By turns wickedly funny and achingly sad, Maine unveils the sibling rivalry, alcoholism, social climbing, and Catholic guilt at the center of one family, along with the abiding, often irrational love that keeps them coming back....

Historia
Callie Perry is a successful family photographer living in upstate New York. Callie's younger sister, Steff, on the other hand, has never grown up. She's a free spirit, living in downtown Manhattan and bouncing between jobs and boyfriends. Lately, she's been working as a vegan chef, even though she can't cook.

What's left? A professional matchmaker. He's Simon Dodson, and he's very choosy about the clients he takes on. Cassie finds Simon a difficult, acerbic know-it-all, and she's astonished when he accepts her as a client.
