Historia
The battle was raging, the air hot with smoke, loud with rifle fire. Then the air turned dim with an eerie mist, and for Jason Tarkenton, captain of the Confederate cavalry, the true nightmare began. Vickie Knox was today's woman dressed like yesterday's, wearing Yankee garb to play a part. But playacting ended when a Reb stepped out of the mist and took her prisoner--for real. They never should have met, never should have battled - never should have loved.

Good story, terrible narration

Lame
Revisado: 12-21-10
I am normally a big reader of Heather Graham but I did not like this story one bit. It seems that she went to a Civil War Reenactment and came up with a neat idea but hurriedly wrote something. She did not give it a whole lot of depth. I was not thrilled with the narration either. Ms Chapman made the hero sound like a back-woods hillbilly. It did not do anything to make him seem attractive at all.

Take it or leave it.
Revisado: 12-21-10
I have read all of the Jane Austen stories and was excited to listen to this one, it started a little slow and not very warm. I was not to thrilled with the Darcy debuacle and at one point thought possible homosexuality within the novel but as the story winds down everything comes to light. It was not a bad story but it was not a great 'Austen' story either. The priest and his slaves in the caves was wayout in left field along with a couple other things. I could take it or leave it.

Historia
Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrine’s diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. There’s comfort and distraction for Andi in the journal’s antique pages - until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrine’s words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present.

A great find!
Revisado: 12-21-10
I loved this story. When I listened to the "preview" recording, I was hooked. Ms Card did an absolute spot on job of Andi and Ms Donnelly was wonderful in her character development and gritty details of the scenes. I really cannot say anything against Ms Bering and her narration of Alex. I enjoyed her reading as well. It was different and imaginative! Brava, Ms Donnelly, brava!!

Historia
"Spring 1873: I arrived in Japan a virgin bride, heartsick and anxious beyond measure. Yet I embraced this perplexing world with my soul laid bare after uncovering an erotic, intoxicating power I hardly knew that I, Katie O'Roarke, possessed. Japan was a world away from my tedious Western existence, a welcome distraction from my recent marriage to a cold and cruel husband. But when James attacked me in a drunken rage, I could tolerate it no longer...."

Disappointed
Revisado: 12-21-10
I was eager to listen to this story when I downloaded it but early on, my excitement waned. This story has a lot of erotica and I do not like it. The story itself is a good story and could stand on its own without the sexual scenes. If you are into reading erotica, then this story will appeal to you but if not, then you will not like this story. I am sorry to say that I did not finish this story and deleted it from my library.
