INTIMATE AND INTRIGUING
Revisado: 12-28-20
This is as in-depth as I feel Dolly's ever been. I simply loved it all. It shows listeners how and why Dolly wrote many of her songs. I've always found Dolly to be personable and undeniably real. She doesn't disappoint here.

BARBARY LANE BECKONS
Revisado: 07-28-19
28 Barbary Lane's more than a random location. It's a place where diversity and freedom are normal, and where everyone's someone. I thoroughly enjoyed listening. I'll soon be engrossed in book 2 of 9. I'm hooked.

Historia
Kevin Breel burst into the public's awareness when at 19 his TED talk became a worldwide phenomenon. Through the lens of his own near suicide, he shared his profoundly vulnerable story of being young, male, and depressed in a culture that has no place for that. Boy Meets Depression is a book that explores what it means to struggle and tells an honest, heartfelt story about how a meaningful life isn't found in perfection; it's found in our ability to heal and accept the dark parts of ourselves.

LIFE CAN BE MESSY, BUT A MESS CAN BE A BLESSING
Revisado: 02-15-19
I'll be brief. Although this audio book, which is about a dark and deep subject, can seem to some people to be a daunting listen, it was ultimately comprehensive and uplifting. Kevin Breel relates many of his life experiences, yet he sometimes related back to me my similar feelings and life situations. Although I don't really know Kevin yet, I feel a kinship with him. I think that everyone who listens to this audio book will benefit from doing so, I sincerely thank Kevin for allowing me to know him at his deepest level.
