Historia
Jo told him the phone call had been about a woman who wanted to have her husband declared dead. Smith thought for a moment and then said, 'Hmm. There must be a few million women in this country who feel like that. I take it her husband's been missing for a while and she's decided it's time to move on. In the absence of a body, which is always a nuisance, she wants Diver and Diver to confirm there's no proof he's alive. And I've told Jason a dozen times I'm not getting involved in anything matrimonial. I have enough trouble sorting out my own relationships.'

Slow ember read. I enjoyed this book and felt like a stroll along the beach. I particularly liked to be able to know what every character is thinking and feeling.

In an uptown strip joint, a cop is found bludgeoned to death. The weapon's a baseball bat. The motive's a mystery. It's a case of serious overkill that pushes Eve Dallas straight into overdrive. Her investigation uncovers a private club that's more than a hot spot.

Loved this book and looking forward to the next book in the series. The audio performance is perfection and has held my attention over the last 10 books.

I have listened to almost all of George’s book and this has to be one of my favorites. I can’t wait for the next one. I would love for the main characters to find love.

Too long

This book is a listening marathon. This book became a burden to finish. IMO, cutting three hours off this book would have been greatly appreciated and still maintained the story line.

Poor narration
Revisado: 01-17-21
The story was just ok. Not enough development on Joel and some of the characters and by simply saying they were bad people is what makes this book mediocre
The narration was robotic and had me wincing at some points. I will not be listening to any audiobooks narrated by Robin Williams.

I loved the narrators voice and that the a cent of the Hispanic characters was not overdone. The storyline is timely and so nice to see a Latino perspective presented. Can’t wait to read other books from this author and will look out for Armando Duran as a narrator as he made it so enjoyable.
