Historia
For time out of mind, bloodthirsty demons have stalked the night, culling the human race to scattered remnants dependent on half-forgotten magics to protect them. Then two heroes arose - men as close as brothers, yet divided by bitter betrayal. Arlen Bales became known as the Warded Man, tattooed head to toe with powerful magic symbols that enable him to fight demons in hand-to-hand combat-and emerge victorious.

Not the best book in the Demon Cycle Series
Revisado: 12-10-17
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
More about Arlen & Jardir instead of Hasik and Abban so many chapters worth of listening was about Hasik's torture of Abban.
I've waited a long time on the Core after listening at the beginning for hours I stopped listening and wanted to return it, and was ready to give it no star review I had to force myself to continue listening to a lot of it.
After a while, it started getting better Its nothing like The Painted Man, Desert Spear, or The Daylight War ( I didn't care for the Skull Throne much I didn't finish listening to it) so I may have missed out.
However, I really enjoyed most of the Demon Cycle Books on audio, I think The great bazaar, Brayan's Gold, and the Messengers Legacy were all better than The Core
Would you ever listen to anything by Peter V. Brett again?
Yes, I still listen to The Great Bazaar, and Brayan's Gold and Messenger's legacy they all are very short but they fill in some blanks and Messengers legacy introduces new characters that fit right into the main storyline.
Not the Core one time was too much
Have you listened to any of Pete Bradbury’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
To my knowledge only in the Demon Cycle Series His performance was great
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
Arlen & Jardir Working together don't get me wrong the story's character have been woven together great from the first book throughout to the Core its just the beginning wasn't great for me
Any additional comments?
The Core was a letdown I'm glad to have finally got to hear the end and maybe a new start.

Worth the wait
Revisado: 07-05-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Thief in the Myst to be better than the print version?
I have not read the print version. It is very convenient for me to listen to books on audio at work and on my way to work or while I work around the house. I enjoyed the first audio and bought this one as soon as it was available.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jack of course. His attitude and the ability to pull it all together
What does Derek Perkins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Great narration first book and second one
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, However, it didn't work out like that.
Any additional comments?
Hurry with the 3rd audiobook, If you like this audiobook try Warsworn, and also The Chronicles of Lumineia Omnibus audiobooks
